I went downstairs and saw that my parents and sister were already at the table. They sat around a circular table, actually it was more oval, with the cutlery and dishes in the center. With their similar face features and browld (brown and blond) hair they looked like the perfect family. You know the ones you see in portraits and movies. Ignoring some of their smaller kinks, they would be too if it wasn't for me.
(A/N:<<<thats so cool xD anyways shall I delete the other one?)
According to parents I have a "unhealthy obsession with my books". I would rather say I am a Bibliomania; someone with a intense love for reading or books. My parents argue that I don't count as a Bilbliomania as I only read TELANHS series. I argue that TELANHS are the only books worth reading.-----dead end :{ uh oh dunno what to write there...or should I leave it?
I sighed as I sat down. I needed to eat quickly as I wanted to finish my homework and more importantly, my 5 page essay about TELANHS #52 before I go to sleep. Alexis eyed me as she knew what I was thinking. I rolled my eyes at her in response. She ignored me and started eating.
"Fese mafsh poftattoes are anamizing!" Alexis exclaimed with her mouth full.
"Alexis, dear" my mother said, beginning one of her long lectures. "It's not polite to others to speak like that. We wouldn't want the others to think of our family as rude now would we? We wouldn't want abnormalities in this household..." She glanced at me as she said that. At this point I just zoned out. I knew mother was talking about me. She's been dropping hints everywhere about how much she disliked my 'obsession'. Lately, there's been more venom in them, but I don't know why. Maybe she's getting menopausal. She is reaching that age.
Mental sigh. Henry was just so sweet in the last book. Serena must adore him. The part where the rabid monkey comes in right after their passionate kissing was so dramatic and...
"Rebecca? Rebecca! Are you listening?"asked mother, snapping me out of my reverie. She gave me a disapproving look, but continued on." As I was saying the house diagonally across from the house on the right from our neighbors on our right being sold. The one with the horrible upkeep on the lawn and the ugly fence. The man who lives there has a cousin who has a uncle who is rumoured to grow and sell weed." She paused there and shuddered deliberately. Mother likes to believe that she is the grand "decider". Whatever she deems right is right and what's wrong is wrong. I am clearly in the wrong as I don't wear the clothes and makeup she buys me.
"Mhmm..." I murmered absentmindedly, trying to get back onto my train of thought. Where was I? Henry had taken out his katana and whacked-
"OH!" Alexis exclaimed excitedly. "Does that mean we'll be getting new neighbours? That would be awesome!"
"Actually, techinically, our new "neighbour" will be residing in the house in front of us which means they're not actually our neighbours." I corrected.
Alexis stuck her tongue out at me. In response, I kicked her under the table. She then proceeded to punch my arm, but accidently knocked my fork onto the ground.
"Girls?! Stop that!" my mother snapped, turning away from her conversation with dad." I expect peace and quiet at the table, not ruckus and fighting."
"Yes, mother..." Alexis and I muttered. We shared a guilty smile. Alexis has always been very close to me. We were best friends even though we were 3 years apart. She shared all her friend and boy drama and I...well I just talked about Henry&Selena a lot.
