I ran.
I don't care how fast I was running but I ran.
Running down the staircase caused me to trip over my own feet.
Me and Lumiere were escaping the castle, we have had enough of the beast's torture.
The fact that the beast locks people up in the gloom of his stupid castle proves how sad the poor beast is.
I had gotten up off the ice-cold floor and limped my way to the centre of the castle.
Now where do I go?
There were about seven hallways that lead us around the castle, but which one led us outside?
There was a noise.
The sound of a big hairy beast stomping his feet like there was no tomorrow.
That's when me and Lumiere took our chances and went through the first hallway that came to mind.
The sound of the beasts footsteps were getting louder and louder, we knew he was looking for us, we just had to focus on getting out of this debilitated castle.

'Let's face it Lumiere, we're lost..'
I whispered

'No were not m'lady, I have memorised these hallways since I was a just a teenager'

I could tell Lumiere was trying to keep me calm by telling me he knew his way around, but it felt like we were going around in circles.
We kept walking along the hallway until..

'BELLLLEE!!!!!'
The beast had found out what hallway we went through.

Me and Lumiere ran for our lives. We passed a library, dining room and a strange throne room.
In that throne room, we encountered a mirror.
It wasn't like any ordinary mirror, it was purple, red, black and had weird patterns all over it.

'Go on belle'
Lumiere trembled.
I looked at him confused.

'Just step in the mirror'

I looked back at the dark hallway that was getting lighter and lighter.
The beast was close.

'Just step in the mirror m'lady'
Lumiere repeated

'Where does it take me?'
I questioned.

'No time for questions m'lady just step in'

I walked into the mirror.
It took me right outside of the castle.
I looked back at the castle and ran for my life.
I reached the middle of the forest and took a break, but I knew that was a bad idea.
I sat down and held my ankle where I had tripped over, it was bleeding, so I wrapped it up in a cloth I had in my dress pocket.
That's when I heard footsteps in the woods, I was only half way through the forest to get home, I could easily just make a run for it.
So I did.
I ran as fast as my legs could go and I heard the footsteps getting faster and faster.
Then I felt a hand grab my wrist.
I turned around to encounter the beast.

'Let go of my hand!'
I screeched

'Where do you think you're going!?'
The beast said with a creek in his voice

'I'm going home, I have seen the way you treat Lumiere and his friends, I've heard all the stories, all of it! And don't think for one second I will show you another moment of weakness because this time I'm going home.. and I mean it'

The beast looked into my eyes, he knew I was hurt, he knew I was scared.

'If you think that it's best to go home, then go.. why would anyone want to be with a monster like me?'

I looked at my feet as I was fixing my hood.
The beast looked so upset and heartbroken.
I don't know what it was but the beast has this side to him that I am completely drawn to.

'Belle?'
The beast said with sorrow.

I looked up at the beast and placed my cold palm on his face and motioned my thumb around in circles.
'Yes?'

The beast slowly reached for my hand that was gently touching his face.
Without saying a word I felt his soft lips crash against mine.

Then..not even a second later, there were lights, really bright lights that were circling around the beast.
The beast had levitated off the ground and he was peacefully floating in the air.

The glowing lights circled everything around us.

The forest filled up with wonder and there were beautiful plants growing. Roses, tulips, oak trees, birch trees, green bushes, bright green grass, pathways, meadows, it was like a dream.

And there was no more dark.

The village had lightened up and the beasts castle was nothing like the one I ran away from.

Then I looked up, and there was a man. Not the beast, a middle aged strong, healthy, gorgeous looking man.

The lights had disappeared and the birds were chirping once again.
Light was coming through the trees, I finally felt the warmth on my face.

The man had returned to the ground.

I placed my hand on the mans clean-shaven face and it felt familiar and right.

I looked deep into his eyes as looked into mine.
He slowly held onto my hand and I started to well up with tears, but I don't know why.

Without a second to think about it I calmly said to the man,

'Beasty?'

The man looked up to me and was welling up into tears to.

He smiled and nodded.
'Yes? Beauty'

He grabbed my waist and I jumped up as he kissed me.

As we kissed I could hear chip, lumiere and all of beasties friends came running towards us screaming with joy. Although they were not teacups and clocks or candles and teapots, they were human too.

They all gathered around us like a group hug.

I would never have asked for a better happy ending.
