"I know your secret." Blake Waterford spoke. 

"Which one?" Sirius Black replied with a smirk.

"I know that you are an animagus. You and your friends transform every full moon to help Lupin." Blake replied. Sensing anxiety on Black's face, she continued to speak. "I won't tell anyone."

"Do you promise?" Black spoke, his eyes dimming. Blake nodded. "If this got out, the students would never let Remus stay at Hogwarts, James, Peter, and I could go to Azkaban." He continued, not trusting the brunette standing in front of him. 

"Relax, I know you have no reason to trust me, but I won't tell a soul." Blake replied. 

"What do you want from me?" Black inquired. Everyone always wanted something from him: his affection, his attention, his obedience.

"I want you to help me. Help me become an animagus."

"So you want me to help you break the law?" Black asked, shocked.

"You've done it before." Blake shrugged.

"Why? Why do you want to become one?"

"That's none of your business." Blake replied hurriedly. "Are you going to help me or not?" 

Sirius Black's brow furrowed, he was threatened by Waterford's knowledge of his secret. He had previously never spoken to her as she was in the year below, a fifth year. It was unsettling to know that this stranger had knowledge of his secret. This secret was not only his but also his friends'. He knew that nobody else could ever find out. "How did you know?" he inquired.

"I saw you four entering the forest from the Common Room window. You should really use Potter's invisibility cloak." 

"How do you know that too? You know what, never mind." Black interrupted. At this point he had accepted that Waterford knew too much. "How do I know you're not going to tell someone?"

"I know that we don't know each other, but just trust me on this. I swear on Merlin that you and your friends' secrets are safe with me. Please, just help me become an animagus."

"Fine."
