I'm in a bit of a situation. It's pretty bad, actually.
I don't know what to do.——
I noticed he kept glancing at my bag. I'm not sure why but... I shrugged it off.
Call it intuition but there was a bad vibe I was starting to get.
Something is wrong.
I'm not very sure what.. but I need to find out as soon as possible.
"Hey, I'll be back, okay?" I told him, starting to get up and brushing myself off.
I've always had an instinct. I don't know if it's something I've done or what.. I've hidden so much.
He did that same head tilt as before, it was almost unnatural for a human to do it but it wasn't impossible for anyone to do.
"Where are you going? Restroom? Kitchen?" He asked before continuing. "Just make sure you don't go looking around everywhere. If my parents find something moved it will be a very big problem, okay?" I nodded in response. He smiled at me and looked back at the game, he seemed too deep in the game to pay attention to anything at all.
I glanced down at my hands before flashing a slight smile to him. "Bathroom, no worries. I'll be right back." I told him before leaving the room. Was he hiding something? I pondered, maybe it was my own guilty conscious. I know there were things I'd never be able to tell him because he wouldn't understand.I walked down the dimly lit hallway slowly, swallowing back my nervousness when I came across an odd feeling. This part of the floor was raised slightly higher than the others and it felt less dense. It was covered up by a carpet, but I could tell it led downstairs due to the fact it felt more hollow than the rest of the floor itself. I looked around quickly, still hearing his voice as he spoke with the headset, I nodded to myself, quickly but quietly uncovering the door.
There's a code needed to open it.. goddammit. I tensed, trying to remember dates that would be important to him. I thought of the day we met, giving it thought, I put in that date even though I strongly doubted it'd work... but it did.-
I peeked my head out slightly to look at the girl, just one eye was visible.
If she looked back... she'd see my eyes.
They were filled with what seemed to be of insanity and a demonic presence at its work, I didn't believe in any of that but I was told that I have always had an attachment to me, something purely evil. I was hoping she figured out the code, my fingers twitching in the mere anticipation of her guessing it right.
Don't disappoint me, girl... don't disappoint me. Do it... do it... do it. See what secrets lie before you. Feel fear.-
I guessed it right. I heard it click, and I opened the door... I felt like I was being watched. I turned around, not noticing anyone there. I let out shaky breaths, not knowing what to expect. I climbed down the ladder quickly, jumping off the last few steps and I glanced around the dark room, trying to make out anything that could look like a light switch. It smelt like mold and rot, but it wasn't that bad of a smell.
I still heard the game but he wasn't there anymore.
He was trailing me... but I never knew.-
I knew every part of this house. The creak of steps, which door was the loudest, which step made the most noise... I watched her with the same craze filled eyes, my breath growing quicker but I still remained silent. It was our little game of cat and mouse. Is it exciting? Tell me it is.
-
I walked forward, stumbling a bit occasionally in the dark and a string touched my face. I flinched, reaching for it and pulling it. I thought it was a light switch. I was wrong. When I pulled it, a door opened and something big had fallen out. I coughed, the smell worse than before. I remembered I had my phone on me, turning on the flashlight, I covered my mouth in horror. He'd hear me if I screamed.
-
"You weren't supposed to see that. Now, mother and father will be angry."
He turned on the lights, the room filled with human and animal remains and the walls were covered with cryptic letters and symbols. I grabbed a knife that was currently stuck inside of a corpse, yanking it out and grabbing her. I put it to her throat. There were pictures of her all over the wall and if people were in it, I scratched them out.
"What is it... What is this?!" She asked me. She was about to cry. I could tell by the way she shook against me and the whimper of her breath.
