After their fight with Giffany, in which Soos destroyed her game disc, Dipper, Mable, and Soos all walked back to the Mystery Shack together. Mable was throwing punches at the air as she walked, and she wouldn't stop talking about how amazing Soos was at battling Giffany, and with talking to Melody. Dipper had to agree, he was impressed. Soos grinned, "Aw shucks, thanks guys. I couldn't have done it without you!" Dipper shook is head in refusal, "Nah, buddy, it was all you!"
They neared the mystery shack, and opened the front door, the little bell ringing. Mabel shouted, "Hey, anybody home?" No answer, though. Gruncle Stan was going to be having a night on the town with Goldie. Wendy was off, hanging out with her friends. So the three had the shack to themselves. Soos decided to catch up on his duties in the gift shop, while Dipper and Mable just wanted to relax. The two of them headed to the living room, talking about how interesting their day had been. They both sat down, exhausted.
Dipper picked up the remote, just about to choose something to watch with Mabel, when he heard the bell on the front door. Exhasperated, he stood up to check who it was. He knew Soos was busy cleaning up around the shop to be attending to customers. And Wendy not being there for work was just as usual. Before he got far, he heard a familiar voice say, "Knock knock, guess who~?" Dipper didn't have to guess, of course.
Bill waved to Soos, and Soos waved back, telling Bill, "Dipper and Mabel are inside, they're not doing anything but they're pretty worn out." Bill went ahead into the living room, greeted by an enthusiastic hug from Dipper, and a "Hi!" from Mabel. He hugged Dipper back, then pulling a way and petting his head. No, there was no extravagant entrace from Bill Cipher this time. Time didn't stop, and color didn't fade out of the room. His voice wasn't echoing as much as usual, and he was just a little triangle, floating in place. He honestly didn't look like he could hurt a fly. He was just visiting his boyfriend, after all.
Bill answered Mabel, "Hey Shooting Star, how's it going?" She grinned, replying "You should ask Dipper, we've had a long day!" Mabel had grown awfully fond of Bill, and she was especially happy for her brother, as always. Bill turned to Dipper, saying, "Well, babe, are you gonna tell me all about it or what?" Dipper smiled in return, "Of course! But, could I ask first...? Why aren't you in your human form?" Bill gave him a questioning look, "No need for it right now, why?" Dipper blushed, "Not that there's anything wrong with you like this! You're actually really cute. I just thought you might wanna, uh, cuddle, or something?"
Mabel squealed, "Yes, totally! That's so cute, oh my gosh!" Bill laughed, "Of course I do, dearest, but preferably not in front of Shooting Star here? Not that I don't love ya, Mabel, but I think it should be more of a private affair. Save it for later?" A look of embarassment overcame Dipper, as he sheepishly stuttered, "Y-yeah... heh, later." Mabel grumbled, "Hpmh!" She couldn't stay mad at Bill though, it was all in good fun!
Dipper sat back down on the couch with Mabel, and Bill took a seat next to him, on the arm of the couch. He asked Dipper, "So, tell me how you got so tired out!" He could of course, find out for himself in seconds, but he loved hearing Dipper tell him of his adventures. Dipper nodded, and proceeded to tell him the events of the day, and all about Giffany.
Bill was very happy to hear about how well everything turned out. "Wow, Soos actually got a girlfriend? I'm surprised he had it in him! Might have to take some pointers from that guy on how to woo you..." Dipper laughed, lightly elbowing him. Mabel declared, "Yeah, Soos was pretty amazing, but it was all thanks to my coaching!" Dipper couldn't argue with that. Bill continued, "And you defeated that Giffany character! You guys are pretty impressive together." Mabel smiled, "Awh, thanks!" Bill brought up some pictures of Giffany on his triangle body. He then looked surprised. "Uh, Pine Tree? I'd hate to startle but I think you've got a situation." Dipper looked at Bill, concerned, and asked "Huh? What is it?"
Bil twiddled his thumbs, replying, "I think Giffany is still alive. I'm actually really sure of it." Dipper and Mabel took on a look of distress, and Dipper argued, "No, really? But... that's impossible! Soos completely incinerated her game disc!" Bill, also a little upset, answered, "Dipper, she was glitchy in the first place. And she was already detached from her game. Destroying her game might've just made it harder to defeat her. Now, she no longer has any connection to being virtual. She no longer needs to... how would I say it... possess a vessel in order to be heard. She's her own, real being."
Dipper, in shock, panicked a bit. "Oh my God! What should we do?" Bill didn't seem all that worried though. "Don't fret, sweetie. I can locate her and talk it out." Dipper looked confused, "...Talk it out? You want to just... talk it out with Giffany? I thought you'd want to, like, completely obliverate her." Bill shrugged, "Dipper, honey, I always say that I'm a being of pure energy with no weakness. But I do have one, and that's you. I swear, you make me a gentler soul. Besides, Giffany is basically powerless now. She's just a person." Dipper blushed at such a bold compliment, "Aww... thanks. Alright, if that's what you think is best. Do you want Mabel and I to come with?" Bill considered, but replied, "Nah, you don't have to. I can tell you two really need some rest. I can handle it."
Dipper smiled in thanks, "Good luck!" Bill replied, "Thanks, Pine Tree, but I won't need it. Love you, see you in a bit, text me if you need anything." Dipper answered sheepishly, "Love you too, see you in a bit!" Mabel chimed in, "Byeee!" And with that, Bill snapped his fingers and he was gone, at Giffany's location.
