The Waiting Room

We got there around 9:21 A.M. I was so relieved that we weren't late. But waiting in the waiting room was SO weird. I was quietly sitting in between Eli and Drew, and a bunch of 5 year olds.

Like seriously, I'm 18. I don't deserve this humiliation. But sadly i'm still "too young" to go to an adult doctor, as my mom would always say.

Whenever i'm nervous, I check my phone. Or freak out, but it wasn't the time or place to do it. The awkward thing was that both Drew and Eli were staring at me. Well I understand Eli, but really Drew? Can't you stare at one of the moms in the room?

My behavior has been acting up lately. Now this was hormones. I always hated the feeling of going to the doctor as a kid. The sick people, the SMELL, the shots. Maybe I shouldn't be thinking about my bad childhood memories.

We were in this room for longer than we were supposed to. The same lady kept coming up to us and saying,"You guys will have to be the last ones, we need to see the children first" like, pregnant woman here.

All these hormones are making me wanna puke. I'm usually a kind sweet girl but this pregnancy is getting the best of me. I had no idea if there was a little creature inside of me or not, but whatever it is that is making me act up, has to stop.

I knew that just by looking at them, that Eli and Drew were really freaked out. Wait a second, why would Eli be worried if he isn't the birth father? That's a question that I should ask when we are alone.

It was now 11:02 A.M. Seriously, we have been here for an hour already. The nurse said,"Clare Edwards, Dr. Johnson is waiting for you in room 6A" I replied,"Thank you" and walked into the small hallway that had all the rooms in it.
