I remember your cold eyes

The feeling of that first strike

You pierced open my flesh and with your claws

You ripped my heart to a thousand pieces.

Ever since

I’ve been trying too damn hard

To mend my broken heart, but

It doesn’t take a genius to see

The pieces no longer fit

Because

They’ve morphed into something new

Into something that doesn’t need you

Into something incapable of love

You’ve turned me heartless.

You’ve replaced my heart

With a thousand piercing blades

Stabbing into my chest

In that empty space

Where my heart once laid.

You’ve turned me heartless.

You’ve turned me into a beast.

You’ve contaminated me with your disease.

Now we’re the same, you and me.

Heartless.

I can see the reflection of my cold eyes.

As I take that first strike

My claws pierce her chest

And I rip her heart to a thousand pieces.

I’ve turned her heartless.

I’ve turned her into a beast.

I’ve contaminated her with my disease.

Now were the same, can’t you see?

Heartless.

We’ve no control.

We’ve lost our soul.

Our blood’s gone cold.

Ice cold blades,

Occupy the space

Where our hearts used to be.

We’re heartless.
