The next morning, my family left. It was hard for sure, but then I started to feel more at ease because I could see that they are okay. That they were doing okay without me, and all of them still wanted me to be home and I still do too. But we can still wait. We will wait because then when I come home, Charlie and I will be okay.

The next week went by quickly, and once again the kids came up. This time I had the chance to tell them that my blood pressure had dropped. Not enough to come home, but enough to earn another hour of walking time.

"This is great, Mom." Mary smiled, as she stepped back after I hugged her and her siblings tightly.

"I know. I'm excited. So excited. So, what do we wanna do this weekend?" I asked, as Elliot picked up Meredith and put her on his shoulders. She giggled as he did that, before trying to grab onto the short hair on top of my husband's head.

"Whatever you wanna do, Momma." Chris smiled. I looked at them for several moments before sighing.

"I wanna go down to the lake again... I really liked just being out in nature and being with you all." I replied. Elliot smiled, before nodding.

"I'll go see if I can find the poles again. Why don't you all get changed and pack up some snacks."

As soon as we started to pack up to go fishing, it started to downpour. Bernie and Joseph called from town and said that they were staying put since it was raining so much that the roads were already starting to flood a bit. So we decided to just stay in. Chris and Elliot made popcorn, and we sat in the living room and watched movies instead of fishing. It was nice to just be with my family, even if we were still in the house.

The power went out about an hour into our movie, and Meredith freaked out and started to sob. But eventually we calmed her down and we all crashed in the living room and the kids fell asleep and Elliot and I talked.

"You know... I was thinking about Charlie this week."

"You think about our child? Honestly, I might be-"

"More surprised that I think at all... thanks, baby," I spoke, and he laughed softly.

"Get out of my brain, Livvie. But please tell me what you were thinking about."

"I know that Mary picked Caden as Charlie's middle name... but I wanna change it."

"To what?" Elliot asked as he rolled over to look at me.

"Owen," I replied, and he rolled back over and closed his eyes tightly.

"We don't have to if it bothers you. We can keep his middle name as Caden. Well, one of his middle names." I spoke, as I wrapped my arms around my stomach and closed my eyes. I was hoping that Elliot was just going to fall asleep instead of starting to cry or something.

"Do you remember at Owen's funeral when I told you that I had other plans for you? When you said you'd be my best man at my wedding?" Elliot asked, and I opened my eyes and nodded slowly.

"Yeah. I didn't know what you were gonna do, then I guess I kinda started to realize what you were gonna do eventually."

"I wanted Owen at our wedding. And I wanted him to be the godfather to our children. But I guess having our son's middle name be Owen would honor him and allow him to be with us, even if he has been dead for years." Elliot spoke, and I smiled as I turned my head to look at him.

"I like the way you executed your plans... if not we would have all of these kids." I breathed, and Elliot nodded, but his eyes were still close.

"Get some sleep, honey. I feel like we are going to be up all night if this storm continues to hit us hard."

[*]

We lit a ton of candles and they kept the living room and kitchen at a decent light level. Elliot went outside and faced the rain to grill up some hot dogs that we had found in the fridge. The kids played Candy Land, since it is the only game that Meredith knows how to play, and I waited by the door to take the food and then Elliot could run upstairs and change before dinner.

"Here, take it," Elliot spoke, as he swung open the door and shoved the tray into my hands. He ran towards the stairs and I headed into the kitchen. The kids ran in once they smelt the food and I helped them get it around before sank down at the table and waited for Elliot.

"Did you and Dad end up naping?" Mary asked, and I nodded.

"For a little bit. But then before I made your father cry a bit. He won't admit to it, but once I rolled over to get comfortable, I saw the tear on his cheek." I replied.

"What did you do to make Daddy cry?" Chris asked.

"Well, I decided to change Charlie's name a bit," I replied.

"He won't be sharing my middle name anymore?" Chris asked, as his expression fell. Elliot walked in and sank down beside me before kissing my cheek gently.

"You both will still have the middle name. We are just getting rid of Caden... I hope that that is okay, Mary."

"What did you change it too?" Mary asked. I knew that she responded like she had because she didn't want to get angry in case there was a reason we changed Charlie's middle name.

"We changed it to Owen. In honor of my friend that passed away when your mother and I were younger. That cross necklace your mother still wears every day is what I gave her on the day of Owen's funeral. He's important to me." Elliot explained.

"I've never heard about him, Dad. Wanna tell me about this important person? Since my baby brother is going to share his name..."
