Chapter 17: Mom finds outWe got home and mom was standing outside waiting for us.
"Hey mom, sorry we're late. I had a meeting with one of my teachers after school." Hope said. I got out of the car and moved to the back, so mom could have the front seat.
"Mmhmm. Okay, well we are going to Wingers for our dinner. I already picked out what we are eating, so we shouldn't be out too long." Mom pulled out of the driveway and headed towards the restaurant. I mind linked Callum, letting him know that we had left the house. We arrived at the restaurant and headed inside.
"Table for 3, please." The hostess nodded and led us to a table. She handed us menus, which mom wouldn't let us look at. The waitress walked over and greeted us.
"Hi, I'm Dianna and I'll be your waitress. Can I get drink orders going?"
"Yeah, we are actually ready to order as well, if that's alright." My mom asked with a smile.
"Yeah of course!"
"We would like 3 caramelized fresh Salmon salads and 3 ice waters please." The waitress wrote down our order, took the menus and left. Dianna came back with our waters while I got a mind link from Callum letting us know they pretty much got everything set up. Dianna came back again with our food, we thanked her and started eating. It was really good, but I wish I having some of their famous wings.
"Anything interesting happen at school today?" Mom asked, looking at me specifically. I gulped, she knows something, I mean the school must have called her since I wasn't there since lunch.
"Umm, I got my period unexpectedly and ruined my sweatpants." I said. Yes, it was kind of a lie, but there's no way I am going to tell my mom what actually happened today. I started getting really emotional. "Excuse me." I got up and headed towards the bathroom. Once in the bathroom, I locked the door and just started bawling again.
Are you okay? It was Hope.
No. But I will be eventually.
You should come back, mom seems to be getting irritated that you are taking so long. I didn't reply. I walked up to the mirror and looked at myself. My eyes were bloodshot from all the crying I've done and my face was flushed. I turned on the sink and splashed some water on my face. I looked in the mirror once more, took a deep breath, then left the bathroom, heading back to the table.
"Let's go. We're leaving since you decided to run off to the bathroom and take forever while we were supposed to be celebrating." Mom grabbed me by the arm and escorted me to the car. "Actually, change of plans. You are to wait in the car while Hope and I get a nice dessert here." She left me in the car and went back into the restaurant. I sighed and got comfortable, when there was a knock on my window, I looked over and saw Jason. My face lit up immediately, I opened the car door and threw my arms around him.
"I am so sorry for everything. I shouldn't have said what I did." Jason whispered in my ear while he hugged me back.
"I mean, you didn't know what was going on and I should have told you." I stepped away from him, putting my head down. Jason pulled my chin up and looked me in the eyes.
"You didn't know that what was going on, was wrong. I should have realized something was going on. Don't blame yourself, baby." Jason leaned in to kiss me.
"What the fuck is going on here?" I gasped and saw my mom standing there with her arms crossed.
"Nothing. He saw me sitting in the car by myself and he was making sure I was ok." Mom looked at me. She definitely didn't buy it.
"Uh huh. Okay, well I don't think random strangers attempt to kiss you. Get in the car, we are going home." Hope had walked out of the restaurant at this point and saw Jason. Her eyes widened slightly. "Hope, get in the car." Hope ran and got in the car. I looked at Jason once more and got in the car as well. Mom pulled away from the restaurant and started heading towards home. I was slightly scared of what mom was going to do once we got there. We pulled up to our house, thank goodness Callum had finished up before we got here.
"Listen mom, I'm sorry." I said, once we got in the house. Mom looked me over.
"Hope, go to your room. Callie, bathroom now." Hope went up to her room while I went to the bathroom. I knew what was going to happen. "Go on, make yourself throw up, now!" Mom yelled. I started crying slightly as I brought my fingers towards my mouth. Mom must have thought I was taking too long, because she grabbed my face and forced her own hand down my throat, making me throw up. She left the bathroom, leaving me to continue to throw up. She came back and forced some type of pill down my throat. She grabbed me by my hair and pulled me out of the bathroom. I was screaming in pain from being dragged by my hair. Mom took me to the kitchen, where she started kicking me.
"Mom, stop! Please!" I begged.
"Do you think I'm an idiot! You were the one bringing a boy here and fucking him! You are nothing but a big fat fucking slut." Mom yelled at me. She kicked me in the stomach and left me there for a minute while she went to her room. I tried to get up so that I could get away, but I wasn't fast enough. "Where the fuck do you think you're going? Did I say you could leave? No. Now I have to punish you more." Mom grabbed my arm and took me to a stool to sit down on. She turned away from me and started digging through one of the drawers, looking for something.
"I'm sorry mom. It won't ever happen again. I never meant to make you mad." I cried out. Mom turned around with a syringe in her hand and she was coming towards me.
"Oh, you'll be sorry alright."
"Mom, what is that? What are you doing?!" I yelled. Mom stuck the needle into my neck and I instantly started feeling woozy.
"Bye bye, slut." Was the last thing I heard before I passed out, my head hitting the floor pretty hard.
