Ok ok ok so um I need advice.
I did a thing last Tuesday, April 30, 2019.
What did I do??? That's a good question...
(Also we're in middle school...)
So I walk home, yeah? There's this little grass patch by the parking lot and there's lots of trees there. Naturally, that's where I walk, and also where my girlfriend (who, keep in mind, I've been dating for 3 months) waits to be picked up.
Her grandma was picking her up that day and comes really late, and so she decided that she would walk me to the edge of the grass patch, which is maybe 50-70 feet long, around the size of a soccer field.
We are in silence until the end where we say our goodbyes and, without thinking, I kiss her on the cheek. Yeah, I know it doesn't sound like that big of a deal, but keep in mind we're only like 12-13.
The next morning, my friend is sitting at my girlfriend's table in the cafeteria, and theyre talking. I pay no attention to them, and walk off, since they were across the room. When I come back from dropping off my viola, my friend has moved tables, and the first thing that she says to me is,
"So, you kissed Kaylee on the cheek?"
With that really obnoxious smile on her face, you know that one. Anyways, I ask who told her that, and she said that Kaylee did. I asked why she said that, and she said that she asked her if anything interesting happened to her yesterday.
My friend ended up telling all of my other friends about it, and they all starting making fun of me, you know, like friends do.
Later, it was really awkward between me and Kaylee, and you could cut the tension with a machete. Victoria (the friend who found out first), is telling me to just talk to her about it, but I just can't. I've tried to tell her I'm sorry, but the words just won't come out.
Ever since it happened, everything has felt like a dream, sort of unreal, and my thoughts aren't clear and I can't focus on anything.
Advice?
Thanks for reading and, hopefully, understanding..
