Summary- Just something that popped into my head so if it doesn’t make much sense that is why. Also, Kim and Adam aren’t really together is this fanfic and Adam was never engaged.

                                            Chapter One

 

Erin was at the precinct with all the guys with the acceptance of Burgess. She could notice Jay staring toward her and she just smiled because of what happened last night at the bar. Jay started walking toward her and Burgess.

 

Jay~ “Hey, You wanna come with me to get some coffee?” He asked awkwardly…

 

Erin~ “Sure, I’ll be back.” She said to Burgess.

 

----Break Room----

 

Jay~ “So, you remember the other night?” He asked.

 

Erin~ “Yes, but I don’t know if it should happen again..” She said shyly.

 

Jay~ “I know.” He said sadly and walked off but then turned around and said to Erin, “But if you can’t accept that we would be great together then I am done trying to win you over.” He said harshly and walked off into the squad room.

 

Erin just stood there heartbroken until Voight came into the break room and asked her something that brought her out of her thoughts about Jay…

 

Voight~ “Hey, what’s going on?” He asked worriedly

 

Erin~ “Nothing. I gotta start on my paperwork..” She said

 

Voight~ “Okay, kiddo, if you need to talk to me I’m here for you. Just to let you know, I’ll give you all a few more minutes until we get started.” He said.

Erin~ “Okay.”

 

She walked into the squad room and went straight toward her desk completely ignoring Jay.

 

Adam~ “Hey, Linds!” he said walking toward her desk.

 

Erin~ “Oh, Hey, what’s up?” She said putting on her happy mood.

 

Adam~ “I was wondering after this shift tonight if you wanted to grab a beer at Molly’s?” He said trying to be discreet.

 

Erin could feel Jay’s eyes on her and Adam and she knew it as killing him not being the one talking to her right at that instant so to get her mind off everything she said yes to Adam’s question.

 

Erin~ “Sure. I’ll see you there.” She said   

 

Adam~ “Okay.” He said

 

Jays POV

It kills me not being able to talk to her even if it was me that cause us to fight, and today is gonna be really hard to do while driving in the car..

 

Voight~ “Okay, Let’s get started.” He said mostly looked toward Erin. “I’m gonna let everyone have different partners just to get the feel of someone new.” He said looking towards Erin, again. “Lindsay, Ruzek; Halsted, Burgess; Olinsky, Atwater, and Dawson you’re with me.” He said.
