Anne's POV

Sigh. Today had been a very tiring day. First, I had to get up early and train. Then I had to leave for school. School itself is very boring. Except for Bell. She is the only good thing in that place.

Oh! I forgot to intoduce myself, didn't I? My name is Annalise Marks. Anne for short. I am a sophmore in highschool and a fencing extraordinaire.

My best friend Belinda (Bell) Andrews is also a sophmore. She's a blonde with long hair and bright green eyes. She's quite the opposite of me. I have short brown hair with reddish brown eyes and am quite tall. We've known each other since the second grade.

I was suddenly pulled out of these thoughts when the phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Hey Annie!" Cheered a voice on the other end. It was Bell. She's the only one who can call me "Annie". Anyone else who'd call me that would have to face my blade.

"Hey Bell. What's up?"

"Nothing much. Do you wanna come to the mall with me and my friend Lenore?" I sighed. While I loved Bell to death and would do anything for her, her friends weren't exactly the most approachable people.

You see, Bell comes from an extremely rich comminity. Thus, most of her friends seem to think that they are better than us "poor" people and treat us like dirt.

Bell however, seemed to be immune to this "stuck up gene" as I like to call it.

"I think I'll pass Bell. Practice was grueling today. I'm probably going to take a nap after this." I said. It was the truth. Fencing today was grueling and I was very tired. I also wanted to get out of spending the afternoon with one of Bell's stuck up friends.

"Oh. Okay then. You should rest. Especially since you have that tournament this weekend! I'll be there to cheer you on! Now go and rest!" She exclaimed. Then she hung up the phone.

"I guess I'll go and lay down then." I muttered to myself. As I went to lay down on the couch, I had this sickly feeling in my stomach.

"I'm probably just hungry. I'll eat later." I said with a yawn. Then I layed down, closed my eyes and succumbed to sleep. Not knowing the peril and danger I was going to endure.
