True Color

Chapter 1

When I was the little girl I was so happy that I enjoyed things in life that I played piano, singing and playing around with my friends and family that I thought my life was always like that enjoying every day of my life. I even compete with every piano competition that I always won a medal of course. At first of my competition, I was devastated cause I didn't get a medal but after hard work and support from my family and friends I able to overcome and became champion in a piano competition. From that day on I always compete in the piano competition and I even invited to some events like culture festival. When I graduated in middle school we moved to Akihabara for my father job, he was promoted to be vice president in one of the biggest company in Akihabara. It was hard to say goodbye to all of my friends in my hometown but everything needs to keep forward. We bid farewell and cried to each other and we made a promise that we always be friends forever and we will see each other in the future.

Now I'm a first-year high school in Otonokizaka I wonder how my life can be. It was my first day and I got so nervous about what kind of people I'm going to meet. I'm just outside of this city and I don't know anyone. I went inside the classroom and see most of this student is really close but there are just a few like me are new here. I sit in the back of the classroom near the window and I put my bag beside the desk. Suddenly, the teacher came and everyone went to their respective sits and we all greet the teacher as she greets us back. Just like the first day at school all the student must introduce themselves. We all introduce ourselves but there is one student who didn't introduce herself, she was sitting right next to me. The teacher keeps insisting her to introduce but she just keeps on silent and she just stares the teacher with those boring eyes like it is empty. After a like eternity that student stands up and finally introduce herself but she just says her name and after that, she just walks out of the classroom. We all surprise and shock that she does that on the first day of school in front of the teacher. The teacher tried to call her to go back to her seat but that person didn't go back. The teacher sighed and let it aside for now, she will talk to that student after class she said. The teacher starts her first discussion and everything went normally.

After the lesson, the teacher bid goodbye and we waited for the next subject. Everyone started to communicate with each other and be friendly. I want to have friends in this school but I don't know how to approach them. I want to chat with them like others do but I was so nervous I don't know what to do. I saw a grayish girl who is approaching me.

"Hi, you're Nishikino Maki right?"

"Yeah, that's me. You're Minami Kotori, right?"

"That's right but you should call me Kotori from now on"

"Sure, you can call me Maki if you want"

"Great! Let's get along Maki"

She extends her hand and as I did the same. We shake both of our hands like a sign of friendship. We talk to each other for a while then Kotori said she will introduce me to her friends at lunch break. The teacher came in and she went to her seat as the classes continue. By the way, the student who walked out of the classroom still hasn't come back, where is she? It's her first day and she already like a troublemaker, anyway I should focus on the class than thinking about her. The morning class went by and it's already lunch break.
