I woke up groggily on my desk with my thick, dark brown curly hair in my face. Sunlight was beaming through the window, indicating daytime. "Ugh... I fell asleep on my computer again," I moaned, pushing my hair back. "Mornin' Goldilocks. Was your computer desk not too hard and not too soft?" a familiar voice mocked. "That joke was terrible. Don't ever crack that one again. What time is it anyway?" I groaned, sitting up from my chair. That girl right there was Taiyou Hikari, my roommate. Her quirk is Sunbeam, which is fitting for her. She's from the country and a little cheesy with her jokes sometimes (like now) but she's very open and cheerful. She doesn't judge me for pulling all-nighters and staying up late, apart from the little teases she gives every now and then. "It's the afternoon, and I just came back from work. But anyhow, are you ready to go out to get some food?" she asked me. My eyes blinked to life. "Absolutely. We're running low on potato bread and we need to get some ASAP," I replied, determined. Hikari giggled. "I knew you would say that," she said.
After I got dressed to go out and fixed my hair into a ponytail, Hikari and I took only a few steps outside when an explosion happened. "Whoa! What was that?" Hikari exclaimed. "Probably another villain. Don't worry, unless it's super serious and we need to be evacuated, the hero will take care of it in no time," I said, walking toward the sidewalk and peaking over. "Oh no. A giant sludge monster. How threatening. I'm so scared," I mocked in a sarcastic tone. Hikari sighed. "I know you've seen a lot of things, you don't have to vocalize it all the time," she said. "Whatever. Let's just get the Bread of Life™ and try to survive another day," I replied.

We got the bread and a bunch of other stuff when another explosion sounded. "Ah shit, here we go again," I muttered. I looked ahead at the incident. "And the same villain too! Sheesh," I proclaimed. "Maybe he's more of a big deal than we thought..." Hikari suggested. "Maybe. Wait a sec... there's a person in there! Hikari, hold my bread I gotta see this!" I exclaimed, shoving my blessed potato bread into her arms. "Oh! U-Uhm, Heaka!" Hikari stammered. I rushed to the scene. A crowd of people was already starting to form. Luckily, I was in the front row so I got to see it all. The guy was practically engulfed by the muddy green slime, and was trying to escape by setting off mini explosions with his hands. An Explosion quirk, huh? That must've set off the fire, I thought. Suddenly, a green haired boy dashed out from the crowd and threw his yellow backpack at the villain, then proceeding to claw at the sludge. What the--!? Is that boy insane? He's gonna get killed! I thought.
I clenched my fists. Shoot... what should I do? They're both gonna die in there if I don't do something! Not even the profesional heroes could control that villain! I thought. I shifted my feet. Bah, screw it. I'm gonna regret it for the rest of my life if I don't jump on the bandwagon, I thought, rushing into the scene. I took off my hairband, letting my long, matted hair down. Why? Oh, I forgot to tell you my Quirk. It's called Hairwire. Each individual strand of hair on my head can turn into ultrathin titanium "wires" that can produce electricity and heat. If I group enough of them together, I can make metal whips, needles and blades for combat, but since they can also interact with technology, I usually use them for computer related stuff, like programming or hacking. Alright... so sludge, huh? It's basically muddy slime, and one time I was bored so I sucked out all the water components in some slime I made with my needle-hair, just to see what happens and it pretty much turned into dry mush, so perhaps... I thought as I drew closer and closer to the scene.
I converted all my hair into wires and grouped them into thick needles, rounding behind the villain and stabbing them deeply into him. "Huh? ARRRRRGH!!" the villain shrieked, loosening his grip on the victim it seems, because the kid managed to free his right arm and exploded the heck out of the villain's face. Just when I began sucking a few bottles-worth of water out from him, I heard a loud "SMAAASH!!" close by. "All Might!" the green-haired boy exclaimed. Ohhh shiiit, better get out of the way before I get smashed, I thought, hurriedly taking my needles out from the villain and skidding out the way. All Might then served that villain the Punch of a Lifetime™. I coughed as the debris settled and it started to rain, putting out much of the fire. All Might turned around and saluted, the crowd cheering. "Heh..." I chuckled. Then I wondered if that green-haired boy was okay.
I stood up and looked around when a pro-hero came up to me. "That was incredibly reckless of you, but you have an impressive Quirk. If you train your Quirk, you could become a promising hero one day," he said, giving me a thumbs up. "Well, thanks," I replied. "By the way, where are the other two?" I asked. "Over there. Thank you for your concern, but they are relatively unharmed," the pro-hero said, pointing to the other side of the scene. "'Relatively,' huh? Thanks, though," I said, walking over to the two boys. The victim was also being praised for his Quirk, but the broccoli boy was being scolded for being super reckless. No fair. He's the one who caused me to do something! Sure it was reckless, but it was the least he could do! I thought. I sighed and proceeded. "Yo, you two okay? You're not traumatized or anything?" I questioned. "Ah, no, not really," the green boy replied, looking up at me. "Of course I'm not traumatized! Who do you think I am!?" the victim exclaimed. "Je-sus, man, calm down! No need to shout!" I started.
"A-A-Anyway, th-thanks for trying t-t-to help back there, um, M-Miss...?" the green boy trailed off in a questioning. "Warumoni Heaka," I said, holding out my hand. "N-N-Nice to m-meet you, Wa-Warumoni-san! I'm M-M-M-M-Midoriya I-I-Izuk-ku!" Midoriya stuttered and he stood up to shake my hand, quite vigorously if I might add. I giggled a little. This boy is clearly embarrassed about something. I don't know what, but it's about something. "And what's your name?" I asked the victim. He hesitated before answering. "It's Bakugo Katsuki, you damn nerd..." he muttered angrily. I pity him. He was probably a high-and-mighty douchebag and his pride was destroyed by the incident. "Anyway, it was nice meeting you two in this... not-very-likely scenario. Hope to see you guys again someday," I said, walking off.
"Heaka! Heaka! Oh, there you are! I was so worried! That was so scary!" Hikari exclaimed, dashing towards me while trying to balance the groceries. "Well, I'm fine, so you don't need to worry. The real important thing is, was the Bread of Life™ hurt or damaged in any way?" I asked. "No! I guarded it with my life, just like you would have wanted!" Hikari replied, determined. "Oh, thank you! You're the best!" I cried, hugging her. "Ah..." she breathed. "Anyway, let's go and eat! We'll celebrate our survival!" I exclaimed. "Yeah!" Hikari cheered.
