A quick announcement (optional to read)
So like I said, I have left the SG book community. Way to toxic and trashy. I am honestly really happy that I left (even though I can't say the books are bad because even though I grew out of them, I still like some). So yeah, I will probably be doing random interesting works like this. Hope you enjoy!
P.S. Spy School British Invasion was actually better than I thought it would be (not saying too much TBH). Still, it was pretty decent, so good job, Stuart.

Our meat production. The way we produce meat is completely unacceptable. We kill hundreds of millions of animals every year (if not billions). To make matters worse, the living conditions most farms raise the animals in are nothing short of awful. They have just as much of a will to live as we do, and even though they aren't as intelligent, they still deserve good living conditions and to not get slaughtered. Chickens and turkeys especially are treated like living meat. The majority of them are raised in extremely tight places, treated with antibiotics and steroids, and are rendered immobile. They are basically stuck in an extremely hot place cramped with other chickens with no space at all, and they are so fat and unhealthy they can hardly move. Honestly, these conditions are worse than Nazi concentration camps. How do we prevent that you may ask? Make a plant-based alternative to meat. Scientists are already developing those, and hopefully in the near future we can have an alternative to meat that tastes better, is healthier, and doesn't involve killing billions of animals.

Social justice. I know, everyone should be treated equally, everyone should get equal rights, no discrimination. I agree with that 100%. However, the prominent social justice warriors are definitely not stopping with what I just listed. Many leftist ideas are just plain absurd and mindless. Whenever I try to approach them with an open mind, I end up feeling like I just got stupider. How is saying "all lives matter" hate speech? How is holding the door for a woman offensive? How is making gender-specific bathrooms bad? How come there is an unlimited amount of genders? How come if someone identifies as a monkey, they should be treated like one and put into a zoo? (believe it or not, I actually heard some people preaching that). How come there are employers who are racist and are refusing to give black people high-quality jobs even though black people on average don't have as good of education and therefore can't get the higher quality jobs as often? How come the police is inherently racist? And even if it is, is it so bad that we should abolish it? I could honestly go on and on with ridiculous social justice ideas. I think/hope that it is just a stupid trend and that we will get over it in a decade or two, but who knows.

Radical religion. Now, before you guys all get insane, I am not saying that religion is all bad. There are some beneficial factors, don't get me wrong. It's just that it really disturbs me to think that a very large amount of people (especially in the Middle East and Africa but it also applies to many other countries around the world), blindly follow ancient scripture that encourages them to do bad things. I think that religion caused our society a LOT of grief over time and that it's time for us to move on to a more rational and logical way of living our life. A lot of things that religion used to explain is now explainable by science (it PISSES ME OFF when people are ignorant of facts when it comes to this). I know that it's easier to believe that there is a life after death and that death is only the beginning, but it's time for us to stop being so ignorant and to face the truth. It's only logical that when your brain shuts down, you stop having a consciousness. My theory would be nihilism. Think of it this way: What was the world like before you were born? That's right, you have no idea because your brain simply didn't exist so you couldn't experience anything. I think that it's the same after you die. Your brain rots away and stops being functional, you stop experiencing things, and there is nothing more to it. Anyway, back to the topic, radical religion is a really big problem. There are religions that demand killing people to defend the religion (no major religion does this yet there are still fanatical sects that do, and some people do this for the religion even when it prohibits it). Some make you take hallucinogens. Some make you have to pray 5 times a day for like 30 minutes each time. Some even make you do straight up evil things. The saddest part, however, is that a lot of people hold their beliefs simply because they were brainwashed with them from a young age. People can believe in whatever they want, but please, have an open mind to ideas.

The education system. So, I don't like the education system (I will be talking about ones primarily in the US since that's where I live and because those are the ones I actually know about). It's a pretty big failure for many critical reasons. The first reason is because of how mundane and boring the system is. For 7 hours a day, you are grilled with boring stuff, 90% of which you will never actually need. The only classes that I actually enjoy are math (depends on the teacher though) because of how abstract and interesting it is, and computer science because I am a computer geek. I also like history, but not the class, due to it being extremely boring and streamlined for people to use their brains as little as possible. Instead of doing any engaging activities that make you use your brain, a lot of classes just give you dull worksheets and make you just copy all the answers off a textbook or something instead of actually trying to come up with an answer. I can't say that the system is particularly easy (I have a pretty tricky time getting all As), but it is just not very well made. The contrast is also insane. There are these kids who live to go to Stanford and get upset because they got a 99% on a test and then there are those who are failing every single class with a 30% average. Another reason would be of how impractical it is. Like I mentioned before, 90% of the stuff you learn at school you will never actually need. Why learn MLA format in English? I write a lot and I have to say that I have never used any techniques from the English class. I tend to just use the mechanics I learn from reading books. Why learn about how cells multiply unless you want to be a doctor? Why do P.E? It's very useless, extremely BORING, impractical aff, and stupid. I also don't like the testing systems. It's so stressful and unforgiving, that there have been multiple suicides in my district alone due to the academic pressure. That's absolutely ridiculous and awful. The education system here isn't very good, and we should take measures to make it better.

Plastic overproduction. Plastic is really a big problem. A synthetic material that takes centuries to decompose, it is poison for the environment. We produce millions of tons of plastic each year, and the majority of it doesn't get recycled, ending up in the environment. The plastic that ends up in the environment is awful, harming animals, and polluting water with BPA and other harmful chemicals that are in plastic. A lot of the chemicals actually end up harming us (BPA, for example, increases the chance of cancer, birth defects, and other horrible health conditions). We can't rely on everyone to just magically start recycling plastic. It will never work. Right now only about 9 percent of plastic produced gets recycled, and the percentage grows very slowly. The only way to stop this is to either produce less plastic (not going to be easy since plastic is used pretty much everywhere) or find a more ecologically friendly alternative to plastic. I have already seen biodegradable versions of plastic spoons in stores, so I don't think that this is too unrealistic. If we put actual effort into it, we could make a transition in a few decades.
So yeah, I hope you guys enjoyed this article. I will probably do more list articles in the future. See you next time!
