Snufin fanfic [Snufkin × Moomin]

*It was a peaceful night in Moominvalley, Moominpappa and Moominmamma were currently asleep. And so was Little My, the only ones who were up was Moomin and Snufkin, they both snuck out to the nearby river. Snufkin patted the grass beside himself and sat down*

_Hello my dove~_

"Hey Snufkin! Quite the nice night isn't it?"

_It is nice, a bit cold..but it still feels nice._ *Snufkin anxiously rubs his arm, and looks at his reflection in the water.*

"Well you could've gotten yourself a jacket or something to keep you warm."

_Well, I was kind of in a rush. So I forgot to get anything..but- we're here now. So that's all it matters._ *Snufkin lays against Moomin.*

"You didn't forget anything important, did you?"

_Pshh what? Nah, I wouldn't do that-_ *Snufkin reaches to give Moomin a kiss on the cheek, until he hears the door to the Moominhouse open. Little My steps out and runs towards Snufkin.*

What are you doing up late?

"Oh hey Little My. I would ask you the same thing."

Whatever, I just want to know as to why both of yous are here, when you can, you know. Come inside-

"I couldn't sleep last night, and neither could Snufkin."

Sure, just an excuse like always.

"I'm being serious Little My-"

I just noticed- how come Snufkin is asleep on you?

"He was just tired from being up all night."

If that's the case, then how come you're not falling asleep either? Hmm??

*Moomin's face starts getting red.* "W-welllll- you know..! Just in case he gets hurt, or he starts having a nightmare."

It's pretty obvious that you have a crush on Snufkin.

"I do, alright?"

It's not my problem to deal with, so I'm just gonna go back inside and hope there's some more Watermelon, I'm starving-

"Alright..well, we'll be inside in a bit."

Good. *Little My heads glances back at Moomin, before heading back inside.*

"???"

*Snufkin shuffles around a bit, before waking up.* _Hey..~ what happened dove?_

"Nothing much, Little My just wanted us inside before anything happens."

_Ah- we can stay out here a little bit more, right?_

"Yeah..I was gonna go inside to get some pancakes, want some?"

*Snufkin slowly shakes his head.* _No thanks Moomin..I already ate before I got here-_

"If you say so." *Moomin smiles at Snufkin, then goes inside.*
