Scarlett's POV

-

The small piece of paper drops fromrht my hands, gently hitting the floor. I can feel the blood draining from my face, and tears starting to leak out of my eyes and trail down my face. He knows I'm here, he knows we're here. How? I haven't got the slightest clue, but after everything happening today piling up, there's only one word to describe my feelings towards Harry, and that word is scared. Scared for my life even, with how Louis acted about the situation.

My knees become weak and I drop to the floor, causing a loud bang to erupt through the house. I know any second Louis will burst through the door and I will have to tell him about the note, about what I saw in the corn fields - everything. It's for Ambers and my own safety, and for Louis, Amelia and Liam as well. Strangled sobs erupt from my mouth filling the house. I am putting everyone in danger with this, and it is completely my fault.

A scream erupts and I cover my mouth, only to realise it wasn't from me. I freeze, listening closely for any other sounds, but none come. The scream sounded female, but now my head is spinning so much to even try and think who it came from. Amelia or Amber, there's nobody else around. My stomach drops. Amelia or Amber. Louis hasn't burst through my door, there's no noise coming from the house. I crawl up from the ground, making my way slowly over to the door, pressing my ear against it.

An ear piercing scream fills the house with fear, and I'm not doubting that it's Amber. I fling the door open and sprint down the hallway, tears still falling from my eyes and fear coursing through every nerve in my body. I can hear Louis and Liam yelling now, and just as I am about to burst through Ambers door, the door already opens and Amelia crashes into me, both of us falling back. I scramble up, hurrying over to Amber. Amelia is whimpering from behind me and Louis and Liam are yelling, but in that moment that I see Amber, everything becomes distant to me, I can't hear or see anything else.

My beautiful sister is laying in a blood covered bed, once white feathers - now stained red - scattered around her, tears pooling from her eyes and pain erupting from her mouth. I have never seen here in this much pain, and I honestly haven't the slightest idea of what to do. Comforting her isn't an option now, and with all the yelling coming into focus around me again, I can't think straight. I cup Amber's face in my hands, shushing her gently and stroking her cheek.

"L-lettie," she chokes out between sobs. "H-he's here."

The commotion around me stops, and if I were to drop a pin in this moment, I would hear it clear as day. She stops crying and Amelia is at my side with bandages, looking at me for my permission to assist Amber. I nod and help Amelia, the boys still haven't spoken a word since Amber did. I know that they heard her, and we all know exactly what she is talking about.

When I go to clean up Amber's back, I notice - well, it's pretty obvious - an enormous wound in her back, it arching up as if there's something making it's way out of the skin. A feather sticks out, followed by another and Amber whimpers, crying into my shoulder. On the other side of her shoulder something does the same, feather after feather and a great lump.

I'm not doubting it anymore. They are wings.

"Scarlett, she, she-" Louis starts, and I look over to see him visibly shaking, his eyes glassy and lip quivering. I nod, turning my attention back to Amber's back, where the lumps have retreated back into her and so have the feathers, leaving little droplets of blood oozing from her back. How she has managed to loose this much blood, I am unsure of. Amelia cleans and bandages up the rest of Amber's shoulders, leaving her crying silently in my arms.
