Maplewood's secrets

Chapter 1 "Gone"

Skye and samara were running trough the dark halls of maplewood castle, moonlight falling through the curtains as they ran by.

"Father will hear us." Skye wispered to her twin sister as they took a quick turn.

"He's not if you won't be quiet" samara hissed unlocking a golden door leading to the court yard.

"There you are!!" You could see a strange figure  standing in the shadows that the moonlight couldn't reach. "Yeah duh! " samara said hugging him "I missed you Nicolas..." Samara looked at him.

"I missed you to, now be a bit more quiet my love. You're father isn't very fond of me and you know that.."

Nicolas said looking in her eyes holding her shoulders.

Right when samara opened her mouth, skye yelled.

"Father is coming!" Skye jumped in a bush while the other two froze.

"Samara! What are you doing out so late!? And with a commonor!" He grabbed samara's arm and pulled her near him. The king slapped nicolas, causing him to fall.

"Nicolas!" Samara screamed being dragged inside the castle. The king gave the order to behead nicolas, skye watched it happen and ran to her room traumatized.

Samara was trown in her room with the door locked, she kicked a table and packed her bags.
She sighed and quickly wrote a letter to her sister.

'Dear sister..'

I dont know where to start...first off, i'm leaving.  I'm going to search for siren, she will know how to help us..

Don't go after me, please..I promise to return when i'm older, but for now...goodbye'

Chapter 2

"Alone"

Skye wondered around the big library located in the West wing of the castle. Her eyes were lurking around,trying not to be caught . Since the escape of her sister, the king ordered to close any acces to escape.

"What do i do now...? My sister is gone and father..."

She stopped at that thought, traumatized of what he did yesterday.

She heared a guard coming her way and she panicked.

Skye sprinted through the library and hid behind a shelf.

-please walk by, please walk by, please...- She thought to herself, her heart almost pumping out of her chest and sweat dripping from her head.

The guard looked behind every corner but gave up and walked to the door, he stood outside near the doorway.

"Great,no escape.." skye wispered

Skye had only one choice: jump out of the window.

You might think that, since they are dragons they will survive.  But no, skye wasn't a dragon or even anything mystical, she was the only human in her familly.

Skye sighed and and stood on the windowsill. She sighed looking down, the castle was located in the clouds so she never saw the village since she couldn't fly. Skye closed her eyes and jumped, after a minute she opened them realizing fairys caried her down.

"T-thank you.." she stuttered. When the was down the fairys gave her a bag full of suplies, skye thanked them and started her journee. Curious of what the world had to show for her...
