Standing back against Princess Shuri's lab wall, Carter glanced around at the high tech technology, holding herself from tampering with anything after finding out the case she broke, which had already been restored to it's perfect form, was worth over 2million US dollars.

"Woah." Bruce breathed as Shuri used her tech to look over the makeup of the stone.

"The structure is polymorphic?" Shuri spoke aloud in awe.

"Like the genetic variation, polymorphism?" Carter walked forward to get a better look at Vision's gem as Shuri nodded.

"Right, we had to attach each neuron non-sequentualy." Bruce pointed out.

"Why didn't you just reprogramme the synapses to work connectively?" Shuri smirked causing Carter to grin, already taking a liking to the princess.

"Yeah Bruce, why didn't you?" Carter mocked causing Bruce to take a lazy swipe at her with his hand.

"Because we... didn't think of it." Was the only thing he offered in reply.

"I'm sure you did your best." Shuri reassured with a smile.

"Can you do it?" Wanda piped up earning the princesses attention.

"Yes," Shuri sighed "But there are more than two trillion neurons here. One misalignment could cause a cascade of circuit failures." She warned "It'll take time brother." She informed T'challa as Pietro hugged his sister in comfort.

"Could he," Carter cleared her throat "Could he die, in the process of this... Procedure." She asked worriedly as she crossed an arm over her chest and placed it on her shoulder, massaging the muscles as her wings twitched internally.

"Possibly." Shuri nodded with a sad smile.

"How long?" Steve asked to get off the subject.

"As long as you can give me." Shuri told them as Okoye's bracelet beeped, closely followed by her bringing up a hologram.

"Something entered the atmosphere." She warned them all just as the cons crackled on in Carter's ear.

"Hey Cap we got a situation here." Sam's voice came through causing Carter to tense up as she approached the windows quickly to look outside.

"God, I love this place." Bucky sighed causing Carter's lips to quirk up into a smile before falling again.

"Yeah, don't start celebrating yet guys, we got more incoming outside the dome." Rhodey warned as Carter shrugged off her jacket to reveal her skin tight, metal plated suit with the large gap in the back for her wings that twitched to be let free.

Just then, huge explosions happened just outside causing Carter to sprint from the room, releasing her wings on the way as a short trail of blood followed her to where she got outside, meeting Sam and Bucky just by the doors.

Hearing the vague conversation going on in her coms about Vision staying put and Wanda destroying the stone once it was out, Carter sighed, soon joined as Pietro silently appeared at her side and gripped her hand in his own larger one.

"I love you." He told her thickly.

"And I love you too." She took a deep breath before they released one another's hands and jumped onto one of the ships set to take them to the battlefield, away from the city and the civilians
