I felt the sting of scraped skin the moment my hands collided with the pavement. A dark brown hand reached into my vision and pulled me up. "That was quite the fall," Amaya said to me, stifling giggles. "Thanks for helping me up." I could barely choke out the words. The girl I loved most in this world stood right in front of me, and she didn't even know it. She reached to move a chunk of blonde hair from my face. I had a heart attack when she touched me. So much for being graceful. It doesn't matter. It's not like I have a chance with her anyway. I'll just have to figure it out and move on.
