🇹he duo walked back to headquarters in complete quiet, not bothering to utter a word to each other. Sure, it was awkward, but neither of them cared.
Neither of them bothered to change it --- but both were still tingling from what happened earlier, as much as they both tried to shake it off.
The green-haired ghoul was sitting on a ledge, dangling her legs, as the doors to the headquarters were opened. Eto's face lit up as the duo returned - she slid off the ledge, gliding over to greet them.
"How was the mission?" She chirps.
"Fine," Raven and Ayato grunted in unison, both moving on past her.
Eto first crinkled her brows in bewilderment, until however, when she noticed the slight rosy shade on both of their cheeks, she only smirked and went on her way.

🇦fter retiring for the night, Eto had assigned her another mission. And again, she would be partnering with Ayato ---- as much as she hated it.
Raven could not seem to find him, so her last resort was going outside. And there to her surprise, was Ayato perched down and holding a white bunny in his crossed legs.
She leaned her body against the tree that he was sitting against, watching in amusement.
He continued to stroke the bunny's head, wearing a genuine grin that she had never seen him wear, unaware of her leering presence.
"Never knew you could be a softie," she spoke out of nowhere, nearly causing Ayato to jump at the sudden sound. He regained himself, all gentleness gone, replaced by a scowl and obvious annoyance.
"I'm not actually, what do you want?" Ayato snapped, cheeks rosy, as he pushes the bunny away from him, letting it frolic among the grass.
"Eto assigned us another mission," Raven states.
A scowl passed him, "again? Damn her," he seethed.
"Yup, time to put our differences aside, and get this over with. The sooner the better, so we don't have to deal with each other anymore." Raven suggests as she pulled herself away from the tree, heading away from Ayato who still remained perched at the foot of the tree.

"🇼hat's the purpose of the mission this time?" Ayato asks as he catches up with her.
She rolls off a shrug, "oh, well she quickly briefed me that we're supposed to recruit some S-rated ghoul." Raven replies.
"Only one?" Ayato lifts a brow, earning a silent nod of response from the black-haired ghoul beside him. "Huh, seems simple enough. Where are we gonna rescue the ghoul?"
"Come on," Raven urges out of nowhere, clearly not bothering to answer his question, to which he just clicked his tongue in annoyance at her ignorance.
Nevertheless, he was keeping up with her as she broke into a full-on run, leading the two of them to a destination that he was unaware of.

🇭e followed her until she stopped at a ledge, bringing them to an overlook.
