Laleh Goldsche was the definition of perfect. Gorgeous face, sexy body, charming attitude, it wasn't a surprise how she grew up being loved by her people as their princess and the royal families were practically adored her.
Since the age of thirteen, many offers had been made to ask her hand in marriage through betrothal. But the king and queen decided that only when she's wise enough to choose her beloved that she's allowed to be betrothed.
So she grew up with many eyes on her, anticipating for the woman she become. The dangerous part was, she knew just how truly beautiful she was physically. So the effortless beauty turned into a goddess-like seductress. All her dresses were handmade with the best materials, all she wanted was served on golden platter. She had the best life that every girl ever wanted. Dresses, good food, boys, attention and tiny bit of drama.
Only when she realised she couldn't have the love she wanted that she knew she had everything yet nothing.
It was her sixteen birthday and as usual, her parents threw her a party as big as the biggest royal ceremony. The guests were coming from all over the world, royals, superstars, world's leaders, billionaires. It was the night that's gonna change her life.
Her dress was floor length ball gown in her most glorious color, red. The handmade gown was off the shoulder with a bold low front to show enough cleavage. Diamonds glittered down to her toe. At that time, she hadn't hit puberty fully but didn't mean her body wasn't as cunning as women who already did. She paired the gown with the diamond necklace she got from his brother. The most special thing about the necklace was its valuable pendant stone, an internally flawless brownish-yellow diamond weighing almost 410 carats. The stone was set in rose gold and accentuated by 91 white diamonds. The exotic asymmetrical and irregular design resembled a vine as the main stone hanging on the stem. It was a priceless present he had sent a week prior specifically so she could wear it on her day.
She had prepared herself since early morning with meditation, in Laleh's opinion all natural beauty came with strong mind. And then her maid, hairdresser and stylist came in on prepping her to look elegant, high class and captivating. Right at 7 p.m she had finished, her skin was glowing, her face was strikingly beautiful, her hair was in perfect waves down her back and even her smell was heavenly. She was truly born to be a princess.
Her family, friends and acquaintances had welcomed her with an awe look, she was breathtaking. Their greetings and wishes came in next as she replied to them with radiant smile and friendly demeanor. Although, to be honest from the first time she stepped into the ball room of Drazera palace, her eyes had set into her most special guest, Heathcliff Orion Goldsche.
Heath Goldsche was the oldest child and only son of the Drazera land's leader, Baccuss Goldsche and Rosemary Baldwin-Goldsche. Coming from the same bloodline and parents, he too blessed with the look that could make anyone knees weakened. His cold jet black eyes, bold eyebrows, perfectly shaped nose, sharp jaw, every girls couldn't simply look away. Now add the sly smile and ruthless smirk, you got a whole package of visual overdosed coming at you.
Heath and Laleh was seven years apart in age but didn't mean the siblings weren't close, in fact, they grew up practically inseparable. They were extremely protective and possessive over each other so when Heath had to leave for college, they both were heartbroken. Although they promised to remain in contact and spent every holidays together, it wasn't as easy as said due to Heath's responsibilities as an heir catching up on him. He spent most of his time travelling, studying their country laws and business, all the while maintaining relation with too many important people.
To be honest, there's this tiny part in Laleh's heart where she resented him for ignoring her unintentionally. He didn't even talk to her before getting engage to the princess of Wallemia who often being compared to her, as they both the sole princess of their own kingdom. Okay, maybe her resentment had grown bigger because of that. Especially when she had heard that Princess Hanna of Wallemia, the fiance, too was on guestlist. She had seen them clinging to each other when she stole secret glance to his direction. Her heart had been filled with disappointment, longing and jealousy ever since. Those were also the reasons why she was so keen on avoiding him all night. Not that it was completely failed faster than she thought.
