"Ah, so it started raining." Your homeroom teacher muttered.

"Do you have an umbrella, sensei?" You asked her.

It was almost six in the evening, and almost no one was there, except for school personnel and some students who are preparing for the prefectural sports fest.

"Sorry, (y/n)-chan, but I only have a raincoat. Haven't you heard of the weather forecast?"

You shook your head no. Well, truth was, you overslept and didn't hear the morning news.

"Well, you can just run to the bus station, right? You can use your bag to cover your head, like this!" Your adviser tried to demonstrate what she exactly said, but ended up failing.

A giggle escaped from your lips, earning a pout from her.

"Well, I'll be going now. Sooner or later you have to go home too, (y/n)-chan." She opened her umbrella before stepping outside the building. "See you tomorrow, (y/n)-chan!"

"See you tomorrow, sensei! Keep safe." You waved at her before receiving one from her fading silhouette.

"Well, I've got no other choice... Here we go!" You looked at your pocketwatch before running off.

Being a part of the track and field club, you knew the weather is not suitable for running, especially in a steep slope; yet, you found it quite fascinating to run in this situation.

As you ran down the steep slope, you expected nobody to pass through the slippery slope, especially in the rain. Or so you thought.

Moments later, you heard a clunk just after the turn. Then, a bicycle appeared. Upon impact, both of you slid; the bicycle was on your side, but the rider was on top of you. He scowled, before groaning.

"O-ow.." You hiss in pain, before eyeing the person on top of you.

"I-imaizumi!?" You exclaimed, before he looked away from your face. He was certainly blushing, you saw.

Both of you were first years, and in the same class. Yet you've known him since you were in middle school. Along with Miki, you three were the best of friends.

"I-it was my fault.. Sorry, (y/n)-san." He stood up, before lending you a hand.

"Nah, it was me who didn't avoid you, despite hearing metals click or something. I knew something was coming." You flashed a timid smile at him.

As you stood up, you felt a sharp pain on your knee, making you half-kneel. Imaizumi watched your movements, and concluded you needed further care.

Imaizumi didn't said any word, he just carried you on his back without hesitation. You, on the other hand, unexpected any of this.

Imaizumi was the kind of person that doesn't help others openly, so it's quite endearing that he did this.

"But what about your bicycle?" You asked. Everyone knew how he loved his bicycle more that anything in the world.

"I can just pull this along, with my other hand supporting you, right?" He tilted his head to the side, making him look even more like a sadistic hottie.

"U-uh.. yeah!" You giggled a bit, before Imaizumi started walking, while dragging along his bicycle. His scent, which smelled of melted caramel, made you crave for chocolate.

"So, why were you running here, (y/n)-san? You do know that only idiots at this hour would run in a place like this while raining! And this is, without a doubt, a steep, slippery slope."

"Well, I thought this would be a good practice... running in challenging conditions..."  You stopped for a moment, before remembering his words,

'...Only idiots at this hour...'

'And this is, without a doubt, a steep, slippery slope.'

"Then why are you also cycling at these weather conditions!?" You exclaimed, his questions were now turned against him.

"Well, about that... cycling is an all-weather sports, so I also got to practice in this condition."

"When it's almost 7 in the evening? Really? Do you really think I'll believe that the cycling team is still practicing at this hour?" You felt your pride rose up at the moment.

"Okay, you got me there, (y/n)." A surpring chuckle from Imaizumi was heard.

"Well, so you are an idiot! Hahaha!"

"At least it isn't only me, I have a companion in being one." You tapped his head lightly while slighty pouting.

"Idiot..."

The rain started to get a bit lighter, and by the moment the both of you reached the school building, the rain stopped; as if it was a signal from above that kindness is always rewarded.

"So, this is where we part ways, huh?" You asked him as he parked his bike.

"No, who said I'm going to leave my girl-friend behind? Specially when she's injured?"
