"Did you hear? Mr. Bad boy got arrested this morning for stealing a car!" My friend Hannah said excitedly, while we walked to our first period class.

"Did you just call him "Mr. Bad boy"? And I doubt he was arrested, I saw him skateboarding in front of my house this morning."

"You were watching him skateboard?" She smirked. "No, I looked out my window to see if my brother's car was in the driveway, he was supposed to come home last night."

"Mhm sure you only saw him briefly, then walked away from your window. I totally believe you." Sarcasm evident in her voice.

"I'm with Arlo, why would I be staring at Shawn? I'm happy with Arlo." "No, your parents want you to be with Arlo and you're lying to yourself to the point that you believe it."

"He's a great guy." "He's a loser." "He is not." "He is so. Boy's never been to a party before. He thinks school is fun and constantly reminds the teachers about homework."

"So? Sometimes teachers need help remembering. And he just likes school, what's wrong with that?" "He's not normal Justine." She gave me a pitied look.

"He is too normal." "Oh, how they have brainwashed you." She laughed, as she pushed me into our English class.

We sat down the back of the class, because Hannah hates sitting in the front, cause the teacher always pays attention to those students.

While we waited for class to start, I started working on today's assignment that was placed on all of our desks.

"Can you ever just skip assignments and get an F?" Hannah asked , even though she was also working on her assignment.

"Why fail, when you can succeed?" I asked, flipping my paper over to see if there was anything on the back.

"I don't know, you just need to take a risk once in awhile. Do something fun like jump off a cliff into water." "I'd rather not risk my life."

"Fine, what's something you've always wanted to do?" "I kinda want to go to Hawaii and explore all of the islands." "Okay, let's do that."

"Like that will ever happen. We don't even have enough money to go." "Let's just promise to go together one day?" "I guess." I said, wrapping my pinkie around her's.

Class eventually started and for some reason, most of the class was absent. Turns out they had a field trip with another teacher.

So it was pretty much just us, a few other students and the teacher. Since most of her class didn't show up, our teacher just laid her head down on her desk and took a nap.

"Sorry I'm late I- Oh she's asleep great." Shawn said as he walked into class, then sat down on the other side of me.

"Hey, Saltzman." I he said, probably with a smirk. I just ignored him and pretended like he doesn't exist.

"Why does she always ignore me?" He asked Hannah. "I don't know, I've never witnessed her ignoring anyone but you." She answered with a laugh.

"What did I do to make you hate me?" "You act like you were once friends. You just started noticing us when we started high school. Plus I'm pretty sure she's not into bad boys."

I looked over at her and gave her look, telling her to shut up. "What's wrong with bad boys?" He asked confused.

"You're kidding right? Girl's like Justine don't fall for the bad boy type. They want someone that they can rely on, not someone who's constantly getting into trouble."

Shawn's Pov...

While Hannah answered my questions and talked for Justine, I kept my eyes on Justine. I admire her stubbornness.
