Dipper panted, stopping in a hall. The walls and ceiling twisted with colors and patterns. Total chaos to anyone's mind. He looked around not sure where to go.
"Oh Pinetree!~"
The six-seventeen year old gasped, hearing the demon's voice. He started running again. He didn't know where he was or how he got here. All he knew was that.. Bill was after him.
"Oh come on, Pinetree, you're not playing fair!" The human demon stepped into the hall, his red and yellow glowing hair and skin looking dangerously powerful.
He noticed the pines twin run out of sight. Bill chuckled. "Oh Pinetree!~"
Dipper felt his heart beating quickly in his chest as he heard the dream demon call his nickname. His brown hair sticking to his forehead from sweat, his birthmark still hidden beneath though. He took off his hat to wipe off his forehead.
"Pinetree!~" Bill's voice was loud, close.
Dipper held his breath, hiding behind the closest thing so Bill wouldn't see him. There was footsteps then they stopped. Right behind the brunette.
"I know you're there, kid." Bill laughed. "You really thought you could hide from me?!"
Dipper gripped his hat as he tried to make a run for it. A small wind through his hair and a spring of energy in his feet as he wished to get out free. But it was cut short as something painful hit his back.
"Ah!" Dipper fell to the ground.
"You're smarter than to run from me, Dipper Pines." The wild demon had grabbed him with his magic.
Pain winced in Dipper's back as he glanced at Bill. His one eye black and yellow as his red and golden glow brightened around him. This wasn't his Bill, his changed Bill, the Bill that returned and promised to be good.
"So you ready to die???" Bill loomed over him with a barbaric smile. "Like the rest of your family!"
"No.." Dipper's eyes widened. "You'd.. You'd never do that!"
Bill laughed. "What do you know?! You're just a naive weak nerd who believes in love!!"
Dipper felt his heart start to shatter as his eyes watered. Bill grew larger, picking up Dipper like he was a tiny dog.
"And now I'm gonna crush you into pieces just like Shooting Star, Ford, and that stupid Stanley!!" The demon yelled in anger, now covered in Dipper's blood and his family and friends.
"Nnnnnooooo!!" Dipper cried out.
. . . . . . .
"Nnnnnooooo!!" Dipper cried out.
The adventurer woke up as the rain outside poured. He panted, running a hand through his wild brown hair.
"Pinetree?.."
Dipper looked to see Bill's worried yellow eye glancing at him as the human demon was concerned. The twin backed away, watching Bill as he started to lift a hand out.
"Pinetree.. Please..." Bill felt honestly fearful that Dipper wouldn't talk to him.
Dipper looked down scared. He nervously looked up at Bill, tears in his hurt eyes.
"Did-d.." Dipper sniffed, wiping off his cheek as a few tears fell. "Did you give me that-t.. that nightmare?.."
"What?! Pinetree.." Bill exhaled softly as he saw Dipper watch him with fear. "Dipper.. I'd.. I'd never.."
Dipper hugged his knees, crying quietly. He looked away as he remembered the dream.
"Dipper, I'd never give you a nightmare... Especially one like that.." Bill said gently, carefully sitting next to Dipper.
"Really?..." Dipper slowly glanced over at Bill.
"Really, Pinetree.." The dream demon wiped away the human boy's tears lightly.
Dipper nuzzled up to him, resting his face in the crook of Bill's neck. "It was horrible, Bill..."
"I know..." Bill wrapped his arms around the smaller male.
Dipper took a deep breath, taking in Bill's scent. The brunette cried softly until he fell asleep, still hugging onto Bill.
Bill smiled, gently stroking Dipper's hair. He held him close. Bill yawned, soon falling asleep too as he protected the younger male from anymore nightmares.
