No way we've worked to hard and maybe they got the idea from us I mean someone from Glee club must have mentioned something and one of them must have overheard I say.

I look at the lady and I'm paralyzed where I stood and I just stare at her while she hugs Will.
Oh Shelby this is Avery she's one of my students cousins she kind of goes to school here because there is no middle school nearby Will says.

I did have parents but they both died in a car crash  when I was 5 and I was in a foster system until my social worker found my Uncles and Rachel was the best cousin ever since and we became really close and we noticed that we look like sisters and well we kind of became sisters I say.
I'm sorry I didn't mean to bring back sad memories if I did She says.
Oh it's ok I was very young so I don't really remember my parents but I know I don't look like them though I recently saw a picture of them and well I look more like you than them I say.
Do you think they aren't your real parents then She says.

Ummm when I was 5 the same year my parents died I was sent to the hospital and was almost on my death bed because I have a horrible immune system so if I get sick like wry pneumonia or something like that I might die I say.
I also was super scared because I was alone and I had to get a tube in my throat because I couldn't eat anything or even breath I say.
She holds my hand and I smile.

We then leave.
Shelby then goes to Will's office.

No um I think it's Avery's cousin Rachel, Avery was right I do look a lot like her and Rachel and also I need to find out if Avery's parents say that their her parents she showed me a picture of her parents and well she looks nothing like them Shelby says.
I can help you with that I could ask Avery and Rachel to do a blood test to check I mean did you have two kids or one and how long ago Will says.
I know I had at least one kid I think I mean I remember giving birth to a baby about almost 12 years ago but I know I had another kid about maybe 16 or 17 years ago I'm not sure She says.
Well Avery is 12 and Rachel is 16 so they both could be yours Will says.
Shelby starts crying and Will hugs her.
I-I'm sorry Mr. Shue and Ms. Shelby I forgot my notebook in your office I say.

The next day
A/N ok so I forgot to say that this POV is only going to be Avery's just so my peeps know.
I walk into school and run up and give Shelby a hug.

After school well not for me at least but after school was out I went to Shelby's office and we headed to the doctors appointment.

The nurse comes back with the tubes and needles.
I start crying and I held my arms so the nurse can't put the needle in.
Then Shelby comes near me and moves my hair out of my face and calms me down and then I am ok then the nurse takes my blood.
I hug Shelby when she was done.
Thank you for helping me I say.
Your welcome honey She says.
The test results will be coming soon Ms. Corcoran   the nurse says.
Um I excuse me um can I talk to you for a second please alone Shelby says.
Sure the nurse says.
They go just outside the door so I wouldn't hear what they were saying.
Um here are my blood tests can you compare hers and mine to see if we are blood related or something she says.
I mean sure but you both can do a DNA test to make sure I mean we can do it now if you'd like  it's way easier that way the nurse says.
Really Shelby says.
Of course the nurse says.
Ok I would like that and can you not tell Avery please just in case if we aren't so we don't get her hopes up Shelby says.
Of course the nurse says.
Then the nurse leaves and Shelby comes back.

Oh just to make sure everything is a ok Shelby says.
The nurse comes back with two swabs.
What's happening I ask.
We are just making sure that everything is all right Shelby says.
No I know this is a DNA test are you trying to find out if we're related I ask.
Shelby nods.
Really I'm so excited when will we find out I ask the nurse.
In a couple of days which is also including the blood tests.
Awww I can't wait that long I say.

Well we should do the swabs now so open your mouth Avery the nurse says.
I open my mouth and she swabs my cheek.
Ok now Ms. Corcoran we have to do you the nurse says.
She swabs Ms. Corcoran cheeks.
Well we will call you in a couple of days to tell you the news good luck the nurse says.
Ok thank you Shelby says.
We leave.
Shelby I say.

What will happen if I am your daughter I say.
Then you will love with me Shelby says.
Ok but what about Rachel I say.
She can come over whenever she wants Shelby says.
I hug her.
I really hope your my mom I say.

I put my arms around her waste.(it sounds way better in my head you know like little kids do to their mom)
She smiles down at me.

TIME LAPSE DAYS LATER
Today I decided to go with Rachel and stay with her in her classes and I stay with her for half of the school day.
I think it was about 4th period when I saw Shelby at the door waving for me to come with her.
Rach I'm going with Shelby I whisper.
She nods.
I go and Shelby starts crying and hugs me.
What's wrong I ask her.
Nothing is wrong, honey I-I'm your mom She says.
I look at her surprised and I hug her.

Rachel comes out of her class.
