"Shut up! No one cares!" That's my younger sister, Cassandra. She thinks she's better than everyone and she hates my guts. Don't worry, the feeling's mutual. Ever since she learned to talk, well, I became a shadow to my own family. My older sister, Evelyn, is the Golden Child while Cassandra is everyone's favourite. I just exist to be criticised by everyone. It sucked at first, but now, I tune it out.
So, why am I in agony now, groaning and grumbling about my life? No, I didn't just get rejected by my crush. Alright, I did! And who got him? Cassie did.

"I'm sorry Lara, you're great and all but Cassie and I are going out."
"It's fine, all cool...just forget I ever said anything to you."
You better believe I ran back home to confront her.
"Come on, there's a reason I get the guys and you don't. Face it, Lara, you just aren't as good as me or Evelyn. You aren't good enough for anything."
Facing this torment from my entitled brat of a sister for years was nothing. But hearing that from her was the last straw.
