 Keaton’s P.O.V

I walked around the hallways aimlessly, desperately trying to kill time. I was more half an hour early to college as Shawn had an early meeting to go too.

Therefore, he dropped me here earlier. My phone buzzed in my pocket as I reached the library.

 Parker- y r u at college?

Me- Cuz Shawn had a meeting, so hurry!

I could imagine Parker rolling his eyes from the other end of the phone. Knowing him, he would just show up later just to annoy me.

I smiled at the Liberian as I stumbled to a seat. I seriously hated being at college so early. There was nothing to do. The hallways were abandoned and all teachers flocked at Costa.

I sighed, pulling my textbook out my bag. Might as well put the extra time I have into something productive.

Groaning, I realised I had homework due in and I hadn’t even started it. I glad to see it was only simple exam questions for the homework.

How many stomachs do cows have? Why could this cause premature death?

If this is what the real exam question consisted of, I think I could ace this easily. I was snapped out my stupor when a felt a hand come to the back of my head.

My head snapped sideways, to not see anyone there. Frowning, I started to pack my stuff away. I must have being doing my homework longer than I thought.

Hearing a small chortle, I shot my hand out behind me; grabbing the persons wrist. “No fair.”

“Nice try, Parker.”

Parker scoffed as he spoke again “Tag you’re it.” Parker said with a coy smile before hurrying towards the exit.

I shook my head at him as he crashed into the door. He quickly pulled back before pulling the door open and running down the hall. Seriously, he doesn’t act his age. He’s fricking seventeen! He shouldn’t be playing tag.

Deciding against playing with Parker, I strolled down the hall towards my locker. I shoved my backpack in there and grabbed my green overalls and steel capped boots.

“Parker you need your uniform!” I yelled down the hall.

I watched as Parker halted, turned his head to face me and shake his head. “It’s a trap!” He yelled back before standing defiantly in the hallway.

I just ignored him after that. I even made a show of bumping shoulders with him as I walked by. “Tag” I whispered, hoping he wouldn’t hear me. I really didn’t want to run. I knew I was tempting fate but… I don’t even know.

Sadly, he did and quickly took off after me. “I knew you couldn’t resist.” He said smugly.

“No. I just feel sorry for you.”

Suddenly everyone decided to flock in the halls as we rushed past them. There was no way I was letting Parker win this.

We eventually reached the lecture room, just as Tanya was opening it. “Quick!” I shouted. Tanya’s head snapped to mine in shock. “Close it behind you!”

She did as told and effectively locked Parker out. See to get in our lecture rooms you had to have the magnetic pendant. Only the lectures had it too. Therefore, Parker was left out in the hallway.

“I’m not complaining but, is there a reason you wanted Parker to be locked out?” She asked, pulling her laptop out its sleeve.

I shook my head, “He’s playing tag with himself. He thinks I’m playing.” An amused smile slipped onto her face as I told my preposition.
