CHAPTER 5

26th July 2014

"Wake up, Katie. Wake up." Ian said gently shaking me. "What?" I said sleepily. " We need to go. We're going on a trip. Come to the kitchen and have breakfast." He said. "Where are we going?" I asked. No reply. "Ian?" I sighed and eventually sat up.

I slowly walked to the kitchen but couldn't help noticing three suitcases and a backpack by the door. I sat down with Ian and and Anthony and ate my breakfast he made me. "Come on, Katie, we need to go soon." Ian said "Where are we going at 6:00 AM?" I questioned. "We have to pick someone else up too." Anthony said. "Yeah, she's expecting us soon" Ian replied. Why weren't they telling me anything?

I finished my food and got dressed. I walked to the car, carrying a suitcase while Ian and Anthony carried a suitcase each and the backpack. I decided not to question them anymore. They were't going to tell me anyway. Anthony got into the driver's seat of his car, and drove to Kalel's house. Kalel came out with her own suitcase and her handbag and sat next to Anthony. She smiled at me but said nothing.

Seven hours later

"We're here now, Katie." Said Ian. "Huh?" I looked out the window to see a surprise. A giant, white ship looked down at me. "Are we-. Is that-" I stuttered "Yep. we sure are." Ian said proudly. I wrapped my arms him, and kissed him on the cheek. "Thank you so much!" And kissed him again on the cheek. I looked back out the window. 'Romantica' it said on it's side. I can't believe it! my very first cruise! "Where are we cruising to?" I asked. "Europe." Ian replied. I gasped hugged him on his side. "You're the best!"

1/2 hour later

"Room B69. Huh. Ian did you personally choose this room number yourself?" I questioned as we walked down the hallway of cabins, looking for ours with Anthony and Kalel. "Trust you to get that number." Kalel giggled. "I swear, I did not choose that number but I'm glad we got that room anyway." Ian said winking at Anthony. "Here we are." Kalel started. "Cabin B71. We'll see you soon for lunch."Kalel said in her cheery voice. "Okay bye" Ian said back and opened the door to reveal our home for the next seven days. "Oh my god." I said speechless. "Like it?" Ian asked. "Like it? I frickin' love it!" I ran up to him and gave him a hug.

It was a huge room with a five seater, rounded sofa, a king size bed, a 34" flat screen TV, everything you could imagine. The bath was a frickin' hot-tub, but best of all, there was a beautiful balcony, over-looking the sea. I walked onto the balcony and looked down on the blue ocean view. Watching the waves hitting the sides of the ship. Ian stood next to me and wrapped his arms on my waist and I put my arm round his but we said nothing. I have never been so happy in my life.
