THAT NIGHT
...🅰️...
AS the summer season came to an end, and the Labour Day weekend began, all through the small, picturesque town of Rosewood, Pennsylvania was a wave of anticipation. From weddings to high school graduation, everyone was waiting for something. But for five unlikely friends, come Tuesday, it was the beginning of sophomore year under the rule of the girl who brought them all together: Alison DiLaurentis.
The blonde enigma had called for an end of summer sleepover, roping in the ever organised Spencer Hastings as host. And whilst she set up her families barn for the girls to spend the night, Alison had yet to arrive. Something that brought each of them a comfort they'd never admit out loud. For Alison DiLaurentis was a tyrant, bold and confident with her sharp words and scathing remarks, she brought herself up by putting others down, including her five closest friends.
The smallest of the group was Naya Kenrick, and at 5 feet tall, she was what her sister Nico called the small package good things came in. She was a bundle of sunshine and sweetness, with an endearing naivety that won over everyone she met. She was the Angel of Rosewood.
And she would come to realise that was exactly what Alison loved about her.
Then there was Aria Montgomery. Creative and caring, her small stature (although 1 inch taller than Naya as she liked to remind her) was nothing compared to her big heart. The daughter of an English professor and a gallerist, she was a perfect blend of books and art, finding a passion in both, something she expressed through her appearance if the pink stripes in her hair were anything to go by. Whilst Alison thought it made her look like a freak-show, Naya appreciated her individuality (she was also the girls hair-stylist and took any slight at her work personally but would never vocalise it to anyone).
Spencer, whilst organised was also Student Class President and a member of countless extra-curricular activities such as the decathlon team, multiple language clubs like French, German, Russian and Latin (all of which she was fluent in) and field hockey. And in her spare time she busied herself with horseback-riding, charity-work or an exclusive internship on the bets of the best earned a spot in.
