“Haha, good joke, I almost believed you with how you were doing!”

I said, who am I kidding, that isn't what I said.

It was more like this: “M-M-Mate?”. And there is the stuttering plus I probably looked like an idiot with my mouth hanging open.

“Are you some kind of werewolf or something?” I began to panick, he couldn't be serious, he has to be joking.

When I said werewolf and vampire, a look of disgust flashed over his face.

“No, I am neither of those filthy creatures. I am the upper race of all supernaturals." He said with a little to much confidence.

“You would be locked up by the upperboss if he had heard you.” He said in a serious voice without even blinking once.

He began to sound cocky and over-confident of himself. I didn't like it, he was getting mean.

“Why are you acting like that?”

“Like what?” He asked me confused. He really didn't know how he was acting five seconds ago?

“Like a jerk. You were acting like a jerk when you were talking about werewolves and vampires. I do not like that side of you. I prefer you like you were before we came here.”

“Me? Me, a jerk? How do you dare to say that? Who are you to judge me?” He became angry, no stronger word, furious. He had changed from all sweet and cudly to mean and angry.

Tears began to build up in my eyes, but I wouldn't show him how much his words stung me like a thousand bees. I thought he was my mate. From what I had read in books and seen in movies mates were destinied to love each other. That you could never get angry at your mate. I began to doubt his words.

“You said we were mates. What has happened to that?” My voice deadserious and laced with hurt.

“You are my mate. You have to obey your mate. I can do whatever I want to with you.” He said coming closer, too close for my liking.

I was, to say it light, shocked. Who dies he think he is?

“You can't just show up, claim to be my mate and act like a totall ass and expect me to accept you without a second thought. I have my rights and I don't like to be treathed like the women in the middle ages. In this world men and woman are ecual to each other.”

Those words seemed to hit him home, but instead of regret in his eyes, I saw them becoming darker with every word I said. And let me tell you this, I wasn't with lust, no, it was pure and complete fury.

Before I had time to register what he was doing, I fell back to ground with a stinging pain on my leftcheek.

The damn bastard didn't just slap me. I tried to get away from him, but with me on the ground crawling like a snail and he standing up, walking towards me with only a few steps, I didn't make a chance.

He seemed to come to his senses, but still no regret from what he did.

Instead of trying to help me up and apologize like a real gentleman would do, he just ran of into the woods.

I was too terrified to follow him. Only ten minutes later  I heard a car-engine starting. Not just a car, my car.

But it was already to late when I got there, I could only see him dissapearing in the distance.

I checked my mobile, but to my great luck it was dead. Dead and broken by the fall from the slap I recieved from Klaus.

There was only one option left: walking.
