Kaia couldn't help but roll her eyes and smirk at the California girl comment. "It was beautiful," she said. "Katia looked amazing. The venue was out of this world. Dad...I mean Bruce knows the owners of the winery so I think he got it for a discount," she said with a small laugh. "Zayn and I sung their first dance song," she said.

"Romantic," she said with a small smile.   "You can call him dad if you want, no need to change for me."

"It's still very new to me," she admitted. "Did you see the article in People?"

"No, but Harry told me he saw the magazine at a newsstand and he scanned it," she admitted.  "I usually don't leave the grounds much these days unless I'm going out to lunch with my parents or to an appointment in London."

"Bruce gave an interview and we all went to his house for pictures. Me and Zayn and the kids, Katia and Liam. Duncan too. The big family portrait so to speak," she said. "But Bruce was very thoughtful in the fact that we had full control over whether or not certain questions were asked and what would be published and if we didn't like it, it would've been nixed immediately. He's very kind and loving. To all of us."

"Sounds like you found the family you always felt you were missing. I'm so happy for you Kaia. We are all but I also wanted to talk to you about a sensitive subject if you don't mind," she explained.

Kaia started to panic. "Are you alright?" She asked hurriedly. "Is it your heart? Are you sick?"

"I'm fine Kaia, my heart is good.  England has done me a world of good. I love being home with my husband and daughter. This is more of a talk about your son," she said hedging her bets.

"Ahmir?" She questioned. "I...I don't understand. What did he want to talk to you about?"

"He doesn't like California, he wants to come home to London. Wanted me to talk to his father about it."

Kaia sat there a little stunned. She swallowed the lump in her throat. "Did...did he say what he doesn't like?" She asked.

"He wants to come home to London. He misses his home.  I told him I would talk to you about him coming home early." She said biting her lip

Kaia closed her eyes and tried not to cry. "I've seen a change in him these past few weeks and I....I didn't know what to make of it." She said sadly. "God I'm such a horrible mother. Don't even know what's making my son so unhappy."

"No, you are an amazing mother. Ahmir was worried about what you would think and he didn't want to disappoint you with the fact he wants to go home. Mess up your plans with your dad and Zayn," she said.   "So I talked to Zayn about the idea of sending Ahmir to me, so you can continue your work in California. Spend more time with your father, get to know him better," Marian continued on.  "It would be my pleasure to help out but I don't want to overstep my bounds."

"He could never disappoint me. Ever. I feel like I've disappointed him," she said. "My little Farishta." She said sadly. "I...I love spending time with Bruce and he loves being with his grandchildren....but..."

"But..."

"I...I miss home too," she admitted. "I thought...I thought I was doing the right thing by telling Zayn we should stay here for an extended amount of time," she said. "But I didn't know it was affecting those I love the most."

"They want you to have your dream of a family and work on your music," Marian said.  "So what do you think about letting Ahmir come to live with me for a little while? Just until you are ready to return in the new year if that's still your plan."
