Chapter one: The transfer from Ugadou

Students don't normally transfer to Hogwarts, especially short ones with pink hair and an American accent. On the train ride, Gisele immediately noticed the vibrancy of her hair in a empty car far behind her. She was already in her robes, munching on what looked like a pastry. Gisele was also in her robes, with her hair tucked behind a blue headband. The girl, however, had multicolored pink hair, sticking out and disheveled. At the ends, which hardly reached her shoulders, it curled.

"G, what are you staring at?" The girl across her asked, tying her tight curls behind her.
"Look behind you," She replied, peeking her head out the car door. Amy, the girl across her, followed the direction Gisele looked, scanning the cars.
"What am I looking at?" she asked, her whole head entering the hallway.
"The fourth car behind us. There's a girl with pink hair that I've never seen before."
"We should go and talk to her," Amy stated, standing up with her hands on her hips.
"No, we shouldn't," Gisele nearly shouted, pulling Amy back to the seat. She grabbed Amy's face and pressed their noses together.
"What if she's a murderer? Or a black wizard?"
"Gisele Hughes, I've never met someone more overdramatic than you," Amy pushed away and walked out of the car, Gisele following sheepishly behind.
As the girls came closer to the car, they became bombarded by luscious smells. Amy slid the door open all the way and looked in.To the left of her sat the pink haired girl. She had a small leather book in her hand, and multiple leather books lay strewn on the other seat. On the floor was a bowl-shaped purple flower. The pink haired girl had just thrown in a handful of something into it before looking up at Amy and Gisele.
"If there's a problem with the smell I can assure you, I'll be done in a minute," She said in the most peculiar accent. Amy pushed her shoulders back. "My name is Amy, and this is my friend Gisele. You looked lonely and we decided to come and talk to you."
"Preparing that speech for a while now, haven't we," She smiled, throwing another handful of something into the flower.
"You should appreciate that we're even coming to talk to you at all!" Amy cried, walking in and sitting down next to the leather books.
"Oh, I should?" The girl sighed, shoving her hand right into the flower, stirring quickly. She pulled it out, looking curiously at the back of her hand. Gisele walked in and sat down as the girl shut her book and reached for another one. She opened it, before handing it to Gisele.
"Could you read the ingredients for me?" She asked, shuffling around in her bag.
"Uhm, African sea salt, Balm, Fairy wings, Pearl dust and Honey water" Gisele finished. The girl stretched up, measuring and pouring and mixing. Gisele flipped through the book.
"This is some heavy potion magic. What's it for?"
"My family knew a tribe of African witchdoctors. They want to know how my first day is," The girl sat back and stretched her fingers over the giant flower. After a few seconds, tendrils of smoke crept up and knotted themselves over her fingers. It hardened, and formed a light pink chain with a small charm. A sphere of glass, lined in tiny golden spirals. She pulled her fingers out of the knots and placed the chain around her neck.
"I'm Bethany, by the way."

Anyways this was supposed to be about Bethany's journey as a slytherin student who had no knowledge of why they were treated so poorly because she was a transfer student starting as a 6th year. So the purpose was to see an unbiased view of injustice and mistreatment/discrimination. Amy, as a black character, was supposed to be able to reconcile with Bethany about how the slytherins are treated but Amy has her own biases and stereotypes towards them that leads up to a big fight about hypocrisy and that kind of thing. The whole purpose of the story was to provide an unobjective view through this 17 year old girl who's seen so much of the world, and how she learns to combat the injustices of small-minded people.
Also I got bored and thought 'hey what if this badass chick with pink hair who used 'under pressure' by queen as her hype song fucked shit up at hogwarts'
