The prisoner was thrown onto the ground of the aged cell. “Why must you always cause such trouble young ones?” he asked. “It is our duty to Sestan,” the fire-haired girl replied, before shutting the heavy, iron door. The prisoner lied back, putting his head against the wall and sighed. “This wasn’t the way it was supposed to happen.”
The world of Odye used to be a grand realm, filled with peace and harmony. Each of the four sections, or countries in the world represent an aspect of life; Sestan as fire, Larus as earth, Eprua as air and Rasal as water. These four countries have wars over the land but for the past 16 years, the lands that once had harmony, were destroyed over battles that had no cause.
When Mariabella, a girl of Rasal, tumbles into Sestan on accident, she has to blend in. But being a girl who can control water, in the land of fire, she quickly learns that blending in, isn't in her dictionary.
