A beam of light shone through the overhanging plants,
Right onto an egg,
A dragon egg.

It glittered of beautiful reds, yellows, greens, blues and purples.
All splattered across an egg, the colour of the darkest night, alike the piece that completes the night sky,
Stars.
The detail on the egg was readable, the star pattern indicated it was definitely Nightwing-
But oh, so unusual..
Rainbow?
It's part Rainwing?

Splits begun on the egg, splintering down the sides,
Soon enough, peering out of the egg was an odd shape.

Her face was a very very dark colour,
Like a normal Nightwing..
A colour as the pale moons theirselves, formed into a teardrop beside each each eye.
What?
Each horn was twisted, and wavy.
Bright and beaming magenta eyes.
But the most different..
Each side of her cheek had a sort of ruff, alike her egg, splattered with rainbow sparkles and stars.
Along her wings was the same, and down her stomach.

Oh, why Rocket?
Why did you leave me, to raise your cursed dragonet?

The dragonet stared up, blinking,
Before creeping out of her sheathing shell.
She looks beautiful, but she is different.
No tribe would accept her.
I'm sorry,
Sweet little dragonet.
Dreamcatcher.
The elder dragon beyond her glittered of pearls and jewellery, staring down with a troubled expression.
The dragon hesitated for a moment, before whirling around, and lifting to her talons,
Vanishing in the matter of wingbeats.

The dragonet watched her hover over the cliffs, before exiting her view.
Dreamcatcher, I?
Dreamcatcher?
Then stared down at her clenched talons.
I'm Dreamcatcher.

~{ Time-Skip : Two Years Later }~

Dreamcatcher swooped down above the rainforest, landing neatly on a branch, away from civilisation.
" Two hatchings old. " She grinned to herself,
" After I got left there,
Abandoned. " Then frowning, a flash of anger in her gaze.
I will get my revenge on her for ruining me.
Dreamcatcher lashed her tail quickly, mind flooding with endless routes and ideas.
She placed a talon down, and leant her head against it, rolling her eyes.

The wood was firm and soft, her claws dug into it, allowing her to rest peacefully without the constant worry of falling.
Pfft, I'm special, revenge will be easy,
I have powers.
I'm better.
Rustling and leaves crunched nearby,
Dreamcatcher's head shot up, and stared down intently.

Where's the dragon?
I saw someone here before..
Spy? A mind raced warily,
Dreamcatcher swooped down, grasping the dragon with large claws,
" Who are you? " She growled, shoving the dragon into the tree,
" Tell me. "
Dreamcatcher waited impatiently for the dragon's response,
Claws extended.
" I'm Peach!
Please don't hurt me! " The dragon begged, shielding their face with her wings,
Their scales flashed a pale blue, obviously frightened.
Dreamcatcher frowned at the Rainwing, confused.
Nightwing,
Nightwing,
Nightwing.. Peach's mind echoed,
Dreamcatcher slowly hushed her thoughts out, covering the voice with the peaceful sound of wind, breezing along the cliffs and hills.
" Okay-
Don't freak out too much,
But I need to kill you. " She hissed through gritted teeth,
Peach's eyes widened wider, and staggered back.
" Please! No! " She pleaded,
" Nobody can know that I seek shelter in the rainforest,
Obviously you've been onto me since day one,
But you finally ventured out further, and reached my den. "
Dreamcatcher snickered, running a claw along the Rainwing jawline.

" I won't tell a soul, I won't, I won't! " Peach cried, the speckle in her eyes enlarged.
That was true, Dreamcatcher saw the honesty in Peach's thoughts,
I won't, I'll act like nothing happened.
My parents will think I just went out picking fruit,
And if they ask, I'll say I was picking fruit!
It was almost as if Peach knew, that she could read minds, she gave the thought she was hoping for.
Dreamcatcher couldn't kill anyone, yet.

" I'll let you go, just keep that promise,
Don't tell a soul."
I see timelines where she does betray me, but they're weak.
If the tribe knows, that ruins many of my hopeful futures.
Dreamcatcher's mind flickered, before she whirled around, and leaped back onto her sleeping spot, t
The Rainwing nodded, and paced back to camp.

Running smoothly for now.
