Tonight T'Challa was holding a grand celebration. Nova didn't know what exactly it was about but despite her changing to a new outfit she wasn't in the mood to join it.
The afternoon sky was filled with the smoke of the fire works that kept bursting into the air. Nova kept her balcony door open to hear it and enjoy the lights while she stared at herself in the mirror.
She wore a green top that exposed her lower stomach with a long green skirt. She sighed, not bothering to fix her extremely wavy hair just stared at her lower stomach.
She lowered her hand to put her hand on her stomach. Nova wondered what would've happened if she still had the child. What would become of her? What would her mother think? Maybe she would still be alive. At the sound of a knock she jumped startled for a quick second,"Nova?"
It was T'Challa.
Nova cleared her throat, quickly fanning her eyes dry before she yelled,"Come in!"
T'Challa came in wearing his usual black attire but with a long sunset orange scarf hanging around his neck and onto his right shoulder,"Are you okay? You haven't eaten a thing since we walked around the city yesterday" he said, walking up to her as she stood in front of the mirror.
Nova forced out a smile,"I'm fine. I just felt sick that's all" a little too sick.
"Nova" he sighed,
Uh oh,"What? I told you I'm fine. Don't worry about me" She replied.
"I will always worry about you" he argued,"Seeing you come back when I thought all along you were dead shocked me. But it made me realize how more protective I have become of you. Seeing you die reminded me of my Fathers death."
Oh god..
Nova knew that she had to leave him but hearing him say all that made it harder than what it already seemed,"I'm sorry..I didn't realize how much pain I put you through" and if I stay I'll only put you through more.
T'Challa pulled her to a hug in which she hugged back,"I'm just thankful that you're here. I owe all that to Shuri."
"And her needle" Nova joked, pulling back,"Now about that party, do we really have to go?"
T'Challa chuckled,"You're not in the mood? You usually are"
"Yeah, but the party energy isn't hitting me right now" Nova excused, shrugging her shoulders.
T'Challa nodded having an understanding,"Luckily that wasn't my plan" he said surprising her.
"It wasn't?"
"No, I was thinking while everyone is celebrating I could take you somewhere" he smirked.
Nova was now curious,"Where to?"
"It's a surprise."

After they managed to leave the palace T'Challa was taking her through a part of the forest she had never been to.
"Can you finally tell me where we're going?" Nova asked.
"No" he laughed,"We're almost there"
Nova held onto his hand, letting him drag her to location he wanted to surprise her with.
They came to a huge lake that was followed with small steps of a mini waterfall. The lake reflected the sunset colors with the waterfall calmly flowing. It was amazing, there was another grande hole that lead to the other side of the waterfall that had a cave behind it.
"This is the place?" Nova gasped,
He nodded,"Do you like it?"
"Of course I do! It's so beautiful. How come I've never found this before?" She questioned, going under the waterfall.
She put her hand under the cool water, letting it drip of her hand. Nova turned to T'Challa with a grand smile that showed her white pearl teeth.
"I found it after roaming around the forest. But come on, there's more" he said with Novas jaw dropping.
"There's more?" She repeated, she thought this was it, not that she was complaining. She loved it.
T'Challa laughed,"There is." He grabbed her hand and took her to the side of the mini lake with a large blanket laid out with a couple of pieces of food.
"Oh my god, T'Challa you didn't have to do this much" Nova said, shocked.
"I wanted to"
"And I love it, thank you" she smiled, sitting down that she patted the space beside her. T'Challa sat down with her that they began to eat in peace.
While they kept a conversation going, Nova throughout it she knew she had to tell him so much. She had only told him about how she healed. She had to tell him of their unborn child.
But how to make it him see, the truth about what happened? No, it's impossible. He'd turn away from me..
Nova could see him glancing at him. She wondered what he was thinking. Did he know? Now she felt nervous.
T'Challa instead got up and extended his hand out. Nova took it confused but she followed him as he suddenly let go going to the top of the mini waterfall.
There she saw a huge rope hanging from one of the tree branches.
Nova crossed her arms amused knowing he wouldn't swing off of it. But she was proven wrong when he did so, diving down the lake.
Nova widened her eyes, she bent down to the water, looking for him. T'Challa came up to the surface and without warning he pulled Nova into the water.
The cold water pinched at every part of her skin. She swam to the top and gasped for air, quickly getting out with her shivering.
T'Challa came back to the surface and began to laugh.
Is he laughing at me?
Nova smirked devilishly and pushed him back into the water before making a run for it. T'Challa quickly ran after her as she ran up to the hill where a bunch of trees shadowed.
Her giggles echoed that he was able to easily catch her. He tried to playfully attack her but she grabbed his arms to over power him.
"T'Challa!" She scolded in loud laughter when he let go of her arms and began to tickle her sides. But she regretted it when she tripped over a tree root that caused them to roll down a hill.
"Ah!"
When Nova hit the bottom, she had collapsed on top of him. She couldn't help but burst into laughter that she wanted to tease him saying it was his fault for them falling down. Yet T'Challa had kissed her on the cheek with her mind going blank.
She looked down to him seeing his eyes full of love and adoration. Nova smiled and leaned down and kissed him on the lips.
T'Challa kissed back her back that after they finished kissing passionately, Nova sat up and hugged him tightly.
She truly had missed him. And she loved him she still did. But Nova knew she had to leave T'Challa before he left her.
