Fever Dreams

I always been afraid of the dark. The things that lurked within, this darkness that I'm surrounded in doesn't frighten me in the slightest though. I felt at peace finally, as if I no longer had any worries. However, my peace was disrupted by a loud booming. The sound started getting louder and my vision was coming back.

Lights. A harsh colorful blinking light that made me squint and blink rapidly. " Hey, hey wake up.. " a distant voice sounded. My limbs felt like tons and my mind was scrambled. What was going on? Where was I? Who was speaking to me. My vision came clear and I realized I was on the floor at someone's house.

Suddenly gorgeous hazel eyes came into my line of sight and I was in pure awe. Those eyes were filled with wonder and secrets and the face they belonged to was even more euphoric. In front of me was a gorgeous boy, he had pink full lips, a strong jawline, perfectly arched brows, a freckle on his chin, and chocolate locks to bring his whole look together. I was in love with the sight in front of me." Are you alright? " he questioned.

I felt like putty, he was perfect and I never wanted this moment to end. " What's going on?" I responded. " We were playing beer pong and I'm guessing you were hit in the head by accident when everyone raised the bottles? " He hypothesized not really sure of himself. I nodded and began to try and get my messy self off the floor but crumbled with an unbarring pain in my knees.

" Oh fuck me.. " I hissed. His eyes widened at my sudden outburst and he cradled my waist picking me up again. " I think I have a cut or something— where is the rest room?"  I looked around frantically as a group of  people crowded around me.  There is one on the first floor I can take you if you'd like? Or would you rather a girl?" He said looking in my eyes for reassurance. " I don't want to be a bother but if you want you can " I murmured whimpering from the pain.

He swiftly picked my up bridal style and I felt awkward with all the invading gazes laid upon us. He walked through the crowd of intoxicated teens with me in hand carefully making sure I don't hit myself, and the sound of blaring music was blocked somewhat by the bathroom door. " can you stand for half a second? " he asked.

I nodded and was on two feet once more while he closed the toilet seat. I sat down and lifted my leg a bit to see thick red blood oozing from my knee. My line of sight became blurred, blood makes me faint and I could already feel my eyes dropping. " Are you alright? " he said frantically seeing my dazed state. " blood makes me faint and my dumbass looked at it." I mumbled out hoping it made sense.

" Look at me, look at me, you're okay everything is absolutely fine. " He assured while holding me by my chin to stare at his gorgeous face. I was trying to shake off the feeling of loosing consciousness again but all prevailed. " I'm gonna fix you up and get you out of here. Did you come with friends? " His now distant voice stated. I nodded and rested my heavy head on the sink. Please don't faint please don't faint, I thought to myself.

I woke suddenly, jerking up and coming to life as if I was Frankenstein. I noticed I was buckled up into a car and was still at the party just outside the house. The house from the outside look like it had gone through hell and back, a window was broken, toilet paper was around the bushes, different colored solo cups were scattered around the green lawn.

I sighed and looked into the illuminated dormant street, I don't even remember how I got to this party let alone who I came with. The door next to the passenger seat opened and I looked over to see the gorgeous angelic boy I seen the last time I woke up. He smiled softly at me then spoke, " Nice to see you finally woke up, are you feeling better now? Seems like tonight was rough, yeah?" I nodded and licked my dry lips giving them moisture.

His eyes glanced at my lips and shimmered with slight lust, the glint vanished in a split second and he turned his car on. " Where are we going? " I questioned tiredly. " Tell me the directions to your home and I'll drive you there." I hummed and began telling him directions to the house I can only faintly remember at this moment in time. The drive to my house was mesmerizing during the wee hours of the night, the sky was a deep blue and stars scattered through out the horizon. The street lights were a mixture of yellow and pure white, the lightning bugs were out as well giving light and beauty to the night.

The car came to a slow stop, I began drifting shortly after the relaxing ride to my home. I stretched in my seat then turned towards the dreamy angel I came in contact with tonight.
" Thanks for taking care of me tonight.. I'm Sorry for all the trouble I must've caused you. " I said lowly. He gave me a soft smile and ran a hand through his lively locks of hair.

" It's really no problem, I'd rather help you than be surround by incoherent people who at this point are either having sex or are passed out drunk." He chuckled looking back towards the road. I laughed and leaned over to him catching his attention. " What is your name?" He licked his lips before moving closer to me, we were now inches away. " Im Grayson, what about you " he purred looking towards my lips again. I moved closer, our noses touching,
" I'm Maya... you have a girlfriend Grayson " I asked arching a brow before my next move.

He shook his head and I finally connected our eager lips. His lips were like the missing puzzle piece, they were soft and luscious like silk. The kiss was slow, I sucked on his bottom lip before pulling away and giving him one last peck before stepping out of the car. Wow bitch what made you so damn bold tonight, I thought to myself.

The car honked and I turned back seeing him told a paper out of the window. I ran back best as I could with these god forsaken heels on, I grasped the paper and he winked at me. I gave him a final wave and he drove off into the gorgeous summer night.
