“doc kamusta po?” I lifted my head and saw a lady with a whitish hair color that I think the guardian of the boy that I've just operated in the E.R. Her eyes are wet it seems like she's crying the whole time while waiting.
“everything's fine, he's in a stable state right now. You can go home for now miss and take some rest.”
“Akala ko iiwan na niya 'rin ako, thank you po doc, thankyou for keeping my grandson alive.” I held her hands and squeeze it just to make her stop from bowing on me.
“no lola, it's my duty to keep him alive thank him for fighting, he's such a strong boy.” I smiled back at lola.
This is the reason why I chose to be a doctor. Masaya ako sa tuwing nakakatulong ako na pahabain ang kanilang mga buhay. Yung saya sa tuwing natatapos ng maayos ang mga operasyon ay walang kapantay.
Since I was young pangarap ko na talagang makatulong, and happily I did it, Im a professional doctor now :)
