Mommy doesn't like the cold
She wears jumpers at home
She keeps the curtains closed
And never goes outMommy doesn't like the dark
She keeps all the lights on
Until daddy comes home
And turns them offMommy doesn't like the night
She cries in her room
Sometimes screams and begs
Because of nightmares and monstersOne day mommy doesn't come out
Daddy never came back
I was all alone and wandered
Into mommy's roomIt was night, it was dark
Was mommy scared?
I held mommy's hand
Her hands were too cold
