I walked around August's house, trying to get the hang of it. It was ten times larger than my apartment and I was afraid that I might get lost. But I liked it. August always had a good taste in decorating things.

I walked through his den that had a pool table, a large flat screen tv, and two plushed couches. I took a seat in one of the couch and closed my eyes. It was so soft, I could've slept there all day.

"Kay, what you doin'?" August asked, walking in too. I opened my eyes and looked over at him walking fully dressed.

"I was just enjoying this soft ass couch," I said, sitting up a little as he took a seat near me.

"Its dope right?" He smiled, proudly. "My nigga, Spez, hooked me up with it."

"I don't mind sleeping on it tonight," I suggested, rubbing my cheek against the soft texture of the couch.

"Nah, you gonna sleep with me," He said, pulling me closer to him by my waist.

"And what if I don't want to?" I asked.

"I got a rope and handcuffs, you know," He smiled slyly. I laughed, hitting his arm.

"Where you going anyway?" I asked.

"I gotta make a run to the studio to record this last part of the song with Kirko."

"Imma be here by myself?" I pouted.

"Yeah, just for a little bit though. Imma try to come back quick," He said, kissing the bottom of my chin. "And when I come back you better be waiting on my bed with nothing but heels on."

I laughed, pushing him away. "Boy, bye. I bet you wish I would do that."

He stood up and placed his shades on his eyes, smirking a little. "Remember when we younger and I made you do more freaky shit than that?"

I rolled my eyes. "Oh whatever. We were young and dumb."

He laughed. "Nah thats not the reason. I just got that effect on you and soon you gonna be back to your old self again. Trust me."

"Goodbye, August," I said, shaking my head and walking out the den behind him. He pulled me into a hug and kissed my lips, making sure to slap my ass hard as shit before pulling away.

"Ow! August, the fuck?" I complained, rubbing the spot he hit. He laughed, walking out the door and toward his car.

"I love you too, Kay!" He yelled back, getting in and pulling off. I rolled my eyes and went back inside and into the kitchen. I sighed, looking around, not really knowing what to do. I hated being jobless.

I couldn't help but think that if August and me were to break up, then I'd have no where to go. I was thankful that he was taking care of me but I had to have a back up just in case.

I reached for my phone in my purse to call Evie to see what she was doing when a card dropped out. I picked it up and saw that it was Trey's card. I remembered his offer from the night of the party and thought about for a second.

I grabbed my phone and dialed the number.

"Hello?" Trey answered in his smooth voice.

"Trey? This is Kalissa..."

"Oh wassup, Kay? I been waiting to hear from you for a minute."

"Yeah I know and I'm sorry I didn't respond until now but I was just wondering if the job offer was still on the table?"

"Of course it is. How about you come to my crib so we can talk about it?"

"Okay, what's your address?"
