"Mom there's a car coming mom get off your phone watch out"

When I awoke lying in a hospital bed I couldn't recall anything, not even my name. They told me I was in a very atrocious car accident and that my mother, unfortunately, didn't make it. I started to remember things gradually, like my mother's face and the car crash.

"She was on her ph ph phone when we crashed."

"Yes, the sheriff's office found that out when they examined the scene."

All of a sudden I fainted. I kept going in and out of consciousness. It just felt like I was drifting in the sea all alone.

I woke up once again to see the face of a doctor. Everything started to come back. I could hear the doctor yelling for the nurses. I could see everything clearly and everything was okay again. They said I needed a couple of months of physical therapy to be restored to full health once again.

About a week in I learned how to walk properly and can walk on my own now. For the most part anyway. It's still tiresome to walk for more than a few minutes but I soon will get better. At least that is what I keep telling myself. On week 2 I started my arm workouts and can feed myself now. I now have more privacy now that I can use the bathroom, eat food, and go short distances away from the nurses, it's very empowering.

The doctor told me I have been making a lot of progress on myself and may only need a month before I'm healed.
