Prologue

Jun - Eleven years ago

"Where's Mom?" 

"No need to worry, Jupiter." Brother spoke quickly and in a distraught way, "Your big brother is here."

"Where's Dad?"

"No need to worry, Jupiter." Brother said again, "Your big brother is here."

Jun - Three Years ago

~

"That poor boy," Aunt Grace said in a hushed voice to the police officer, "To lose his parents at such a young age and now his brother. Vincent took care of him after their death..." Her eyes were red and puffy. Yet Auntie stood so regal as she talked to the officer. What was his name again? Oh right, officer Wolfgang. Or was he the officer in front of me?

"Now kid," I semi snapped out of my befuddled state to look at officer Wolfgang (?), "Your Aunt Grace is going to take good care of you, a thirteen year-old needs some help to grow." He shot me a pitiful look, I hate it when people look at me in such a way. 

"It's okay officer, I'll take him from here." The officer nodded at Auntie, then at me and left. "Come now Jun, let's head to our new home."

"I don't want a new home. My home is with Vincent." I tried to keep my mind focus but, it just kept wandering off to the bloody image of Vin laying on the floor.

"Yes," She spoke softly, "But he left you in good hands. Vincent said so in his will. Aunt Grace will take good care of you." That 'in his will' part struck me to my bones. I've never met Aunt Grace face to face, only through letters or a phone call. Still... if brother trusted her then I will too. Auntie opened her palm for me and I slowly took it. 

"Then, let's go home Aunt Grace."

Jane - One month ago

~

Drip

"So wonderful of you to come Jane."

Drip

"You could have cleaned yourself up before meeting me, Arto."

Drop

"Is that how you treat your cousin?" Arto shifted and moaned as his wound upon his left arm opened more, "And someone who found his name."

To that I smiled, "And what is the name of this taster? I'm in the mood to hunt after all."

"His name is... Jupiter Eclipse."
