It has been months since Kate Warren has come out of the hospital.
Months since Vanessa and Aidan moved away.
She hasn't talked to them ever since. But believe me, she wanted to.
"Kate!" Kora shouted from downstairs, "people are here!"
Kate groaned slightly, "Coming!" she yelled back.
It also has been months since Kate's father died.
Kate made her way downstairs and received wet kisses from aunts and uncles, wearing black, she never knew existed.
She worried about who would take care of her and her sister. If only Aidan was here... she thought.
Grandma came close to Kate and hugged her gently.
"hi, grandma," Kate said, smiling.
"I'm taking you in," she said, smiling slightly.
"What?" Kate said, shocked, "you're coming to stay here?"
"more like, you're coming to New York City," she said.
Grandma didn't seem old nor looked old either. She was sweet though, and she was a money-making business woman.
Kate sighed and wanted to cry, but in the inside she wanted to leave this house.
She breathed and faked smile the whole funeral.
