"Areum dear, Sicheng is here!" my mother yelled from downstairs.
"Tell him to come up here!" I yelled back. I heard loud footsteps coming up the stairs and then the door flung open revealing the boy. "Areum Let's go do something!" He sighed exasperatedly, laying down on my bed.
"I need to go apply for a job at a cafe." I said not looking up from my phone. I was going through websites with current job openings. "Okay, well let's go then!" He said.
"Mm okay." I said still staring at my phone, trying to find some places we can stop by instead of just wandering around aimlessly.
"Areum....." He whined, "give me attention...."
I rolled my eyes at him, continuing to scroll through the websites. He soon got frustrated and yanked the phone out of my hand. "Yah! Give me that back!" I yelled. "No. What's more important about this phone then me?!" He yelled.
"Fine. I was trying to find places we could stop by dumbass. But let's go then since you have no patience." I rolled my eyes. He just playfully mocked me and stuck his tongue out at me.
"Come on let's go" he said grabbing me by the hand and pulling me up and out of the house. "Are you going to give me my phone back?" I asked, walking along beside him. "Nope" He said, sticking the phone in his pocket.
"Okay well let's go to the new cafe so I can apply there." I said remembering the cafe I saw yesterday while getting groceries. I completely just ignored Sicheng and walked without him. He was being weird, it looked like he was texting someone.
I guess he realized I was leaving him so he ran up to me and grabbed my hand. I stared at him weirdly, "Why are you so clingy today?"
"I'm always clingy" he said smiling. "Hmm alright. Shouldn't you apply for a job too?" I said. "Nah. I will later." He said shrugging. I just nodded and continued walking on, swinging our hands as we walked.
"Sicheng, when are we gonna get an apartment together like we talked about?" I asked, remembering the promise we made a few months back. "Umm.. I don't know.." he said while looking down. "You okay?" I asked.
"Um yeah I'm fine" he faked a smile. I decided not to ask him about it and let him be. He always comes to me eventually when something is bothering him. He's my best friend after all.
"Okay I applied. Now let's just wait and hope I get the job!" I smiled, proud of myself. "Let's order something and go to a park or something.
"Okay and I'm sure you will! Who wouldn't want you to work for them? You're amazing!" He smiled brightly. "Ah didn't anyone ever tell you not to lie?" I asked jokingly.
"What am I lying about?" He asked confused. "Me being amazing" I rolled my eyes. "Oh. Wait.. hey! I'm not lying! You are amazing!" He said offended.
