I live here in Friedchicken, Ohio. Its a small town and not many people know about it. I live in an apartment complex with my mom and my sister, Juliette. Juliette had it all. She had a fiancé, college degree and a sustainable job. She was basically perfect. Well, to my mom.
I was still in high school. In my senior year, I didn't have a lot of friends so being asked if I had a boyfriend always led me into laughing. The closest thing I had to a boyfriend was my boyfriend, Cameron.
Cameron and I have been best friends since year 7 because we always caught the bus together. In year 8, Cameron told me he liked me but I completely laughed at his face and basically ignored him. Sort of rude of me, if you think about it.
Anyways, a lot of people called Cameron hot when year 10 came around and he even got his first girlfriend, Tara Apple. They lasted about 10 months which ended right before formal. Super awkward. Cameron apparently got even hotter, landing a date with the hottest girl in the school, Mia Raving. They lasted about 5 months because Mia lost feelings and I think Cameron felt that too. After Mia, he started dating Sophie Pillar. They have been dating for 11 months now.
It was their one year soon and all I could think about is what would happen if I didn't laugh at his face in year 8.
