Hey guys! Rachel here c: this is my first fanfiction ever! So please leave your opinions! Much love! xx

I fidgeted with the hem of my new pencil skirt, and tapped the heel of my black patent leather pumps on the marble floor.

"Well hello Ms. Hollenbeck!" I was greeted by a bubbly redhead as she briskly approached me, extending her perfectly manicured right hand towards me. "Oh hi. Nice to meet-" I managed to choke out before I was interrupted.

"The show goes live in eight minutes. Ellen said she is very excited to meet you! Any questions?" She asked with an overly enthusiastic fake smile. "Well um... No. I guess I just haven't done anything like this before. I'm sort of new at this whole 'famous' thing"

My life had been a whirlwind the past six months. Just last year I was sitting in my junior class orientation. And now here I was, getting prepared to meet Ellen DeGeneres. Seven months ago, I was playing a small gig at a local coffee house. Nothing special really. But, someone must've been blown away because they videotaped it, posted it on YouTube, and a few weeks later a record label was at my doorstep asking me to start a career with them. It was so surreal, like something out of a movie. In less than a year, I had been signed to a record company, recorded an album, and watched it climb to the top. My life is a fairy tale, and I couldn't be happier.

"So basically, she asks you questions and you answer them, okay?" the assistant told me, seeming a bit annoyed at my utter lack of experience with this. I was back stage and my palms were sweating, and I thought my heart was going to explode from beating so fast. I had done radio interviews before, but nothing this huge.. I heard a mans voice say "We're on in 5...4...3...2..1" Then Ellen said "let's give a big welcome to Rachel Hollenbeck!!" my single started to play in the background, and the audience roared.

I couldn't do this. But I pushed that thought aside, did my hottest strut, and threw on my best smile. I say down and instantly felt a little better. Everyone was here to see me, nothing could go wrong.

"This has all happens so fast for you, hasn't it?" she squealed. "uh, yeah. I mean, having the first album you record go to the top is so lucky. I don't even feel like I'm 'famous' just a regular girl." I replied slightly awkwardly. "So you've basically taken the whole country by storm over the past couple of moths, developed an insane fanbase who love you so much, and got a prince for your fairytale lifestyle" she said. "excuse me. Did you say prince? I do NOT have a boyfriend" I said with a bit of an attitude. I tried to hold back my laughter. My dating life had been completely nonexistent back home. No one has really noticed me until now. "Well that's not what I heaard" she said in a singsong voice. "what?" I said defensively. "If you haven't heard the Zayn rumors, you must be living under a rock." she explained. "um, no comment" I said quietly. She was skeptical but didn't continue on the topic. The rest of the questions were very generic. All easy answers.

I had no idea what she was talking about. Obviously, I have met all of the boys. And Zayn and I had just grown to be very close friends. But nothing serious. I don't understand.

I will admit, I used to have the BIGGEST crush on him, but when you change, your opinions do too. I guess I still did think he was devastatingly handsome, and a great guy, but I didn't want him like I used too. Ugh. I hate rumors.
