(Emma's P.O.V.)
"Emma! Get down here now!"
Ug. I am never going to get over accent. Sure I love being an exchange student and I love the British accent in general, but hers is just... weird. Imagine if a southern American, British, and African accent had a baby. Ya, it's weird.
I trudged down the stairs and was greeted by my host mother's shining, smiling face. I'm kidding. She never smiles. "Yes, Elenor?"
"Your sister's been telling me some... interesting things."
Great. I don't know why, but Clara has been out to get me ever since I showed up here. All summer she's been teasing me in front of her friends, starting rumors with anyone she could, telling my, I mean her, mom all sorts of untrue dirty secrets, and sabotaging every relationship I've been in, friendships and my one boyfriend I had until yesterday when she told him I was cheating and then starting dating him.
"Like what?" I asked. "Well, for one, that you spent last night with your boyfriend."
"I don't have a boyfriend. We broke up yesterday. He's dating Clara now."
"You expect me to believe my daughter would do that? Especially since I found these in your backpack!" She held up her hand, holding three very intriguing squares like cards. "Those are not mine!" I yelled. "You are grounded, young lady! No T.V. for a month!" She turned and around, throwing the condoms on the couch as she stormed out.
"Well, well, well. Little Miss Perfect isn't so good after all." I turned and had to prevent myself from smacking the smirk off of her face. "Clara." I nodded a hello and walked off grinding my teeth.
As soon as I got in my room, I sat down and dialed my best friends, Emily and Stephanie, on skype. Emily and I decided to become exchange students our senior year together and Stephanie is Clara's ex-best friend. They're the only two that hate Clara as much as I do. I told them what happened and had to tell Steph to calm down. I thought she was going to jump through the computer. "I hate her!" she yelled. Emily, the level-headed one, calmly said, "We all do, Steph. Let's just hope she and her whore-friends leave us alone tomorrow."
"If they don't, I'm gunna..."
I cut Stephanie off. "First day. Senior year. Let's not let them ruin it."
"OoooooooKaaaaaay." I could tell she just wanted to kill them all. "Goodnight, loves!"
"Goodnight, Steph!" Emily and I said in unison.
Senior year?
Bring. It. On.
