Percy stayed in the hospital for many weeks and finally he was ready to get up and running. Fortunately the battle hadn't started yet but was about to. He had made it just in time.

"Percy I don't know if you're ready for this." Annabeth said honestly.

"Annabeth don't worry about me. I'll be fine." Percy reassured Annabeth.

"Are you truly ready for this Percy? Everybody completely understands if you are not." Mr. P marched beside Annabeth.

"I'm fine! Why does everyone think that I'm not okay?" Percy yelled.

"Okay. I guess he's okay." a camper named Clarisse sighed. She was batting herself with a fan. She was a child of Aphrodite. She was big, bulky, and incredible mean to other campers, but somehow she was a child of Aphrodite. No one understood it so don't be surprised if you don't get it.

"Percy!" another camper named Katie Gardner shouted. She was a daughter of Hermes, so she had a lot of tricks up her sleeve.

"What do you want Katie?" Percy asked. Katie confused him a lot.

"I just wanted to know if the gods actually visited you. And if you've seen my dad?" Katie asked eagerly.

"Yeah. They came. I didn't really get to know your dad, but he seemed a lot like you." Percy said.

Katie nodded. "So Percy, we need to get you training right away before the monsters invade. You're our best fighter here and we're going to need you when we have our battle." Mr. P handed Percy a sword.

He almost collapsed under the weight. He hadn't held one of these in so long. It felt like a lifetime when it was only a couple of weeks. He grabbed Annabeth by the hand and made sure that she had a weapon. They fought while Mr. P did a role call for all of the people that would be fighting.

"Katie Gardner!" Mr. P shouted.

"Yes I am fighting." Katie said.

"Clarisse LaRue!" Mr. P yelled.

"Yeah I guess." Clarisse shrugged.

"Silena B?" Mr. P couldn't pronounce her last name.

"Connor and Travis!" Mr. P cried.

"The Stoll twins are in!" Connor and Travis smiled. Mr. P announced a lot more names. Everyone except for two people said yes. Grover Underwood, this saytr and his girlfriend Juniper.

"I am very scared of war! It is not good for any people to be around war!" Grover sobbed into his girlfriend's orange hair.

"If Grover isn't doing this than I am not!" Juniper sniffled.

"Okay then. Everyone keep practicing! War is going to come sooner than we all thought." Mr. P ordered.

There were many clangs of swords and bashes of helmets as all of the demigods fought with each other.

"Annabeth let's go!" Percy almost chopped Annabeth's head off but cut himself off.

"Sorry! Let's keep going!" Annabeth pleaded. Percy almost cut off Annabeth's wrist this time.

"Mr. P!" Percy cried.

"What now? Tell me that this isn't another sword to the head." Mr. P sighed.

"It wasn't but it almost was. Mr. P I love working with Annabeth but she is not advanced enough for me to be working with her. I'm sorry but we're going to have to figure something else out." Percy explained.

"What?" Annabeth gasped.

"Annabeth I'm sorry. But training is the only thing on my mind right now." Percy shook his head.

"Wow. I thought you were different from Luke, but I was wrong. You're exactly the same." Annabeth sniffled. She wiped her eyes and ran back to the camp.

"Annabeth!" Percy tried to run after her but was held back by Mr. P.

"Don't Percy. Just let her be. Women take some time to cool off. Plus, you were worried about her safety right?" Mr. P asked.

"Yeah. Yeah that's it." Percy sighed. He kept training on a dummy.

"Maybe Mr. P's right," Percy thought. "Maybe she does need some time to cool off. I would too. She's mad at me right now and she has a good reason to. I betrayed her and said that she wasn't as advanced as me. How jerky does that sound? Crazy." Percy shook his head. "Tomorrow is a new day. I'll talk to her, she'll forgive me, we'll kiss, fall in love, the end." Percy smiled. "Wait what? Kiss fall in love? Am I living in a fairytale? Annabeth doesn't like me that way. At least not anymore." Percy sighed.

"Does Percy actually like me as a friend or not as a friend? Does he even like me anymore? I messed up. I messed up! I ran out on him when he was only trying to help. Oh god. What is wrong with me? You know what, I'll talk to him whenever and I'll say I'm sorry. Annabeth, you do not like him like that anymore. He never liked you either." Annabeth told herself.

If only she knew.

The next day Percy was feeling encouraged by his own thoughts.

"Annabeth!" Percy called.

"Percy! I was looking for you!" Annabeth smiled. Her hair was pulled back in a bun and it looked like she had no makeup on. But in Percy's eyes she was as beautiful as ever.

"Can I talk to you about something?" Percy asked.

"Yeah. Me first though. Yesterday I'm so sorry I ran out on you. You were just trying to help me." Annabeth sat down on a park bench. Percy sat next to her.

"No I'm sorry! I betrayed you and I said that I was more advanced than you. That was just lame." Percy sighed.

"Yeah pretty lame. Also, I used to like you. When I was really little I fantasized about us being together and it was really funny. That's why I seemed really weird." Annabeth laughed.

"Used to like me?" Percy emphasized the word used.

"Yeah. Not now. That'd be weird." Annabeth pointed out.

"Yeah. So weird." Percy said. His heart dropped. All his plans for the day were ruined. He couldn't believe how stupid he was. "I gotta go." Percy's eyes started to water.

"Okay. I'll talk to you later." Annabeth waved. Percy ran back to his cabin and collapsed on his bed. He fell asleep.
