It's been a few weeks and Justine has been tutoring me almost every single day. She's no longer quiet and shy around me.

You could say that we are now friends. Also she broke up with that Arlo kid a few days ago, so if everything goes right, I might have a chance with her.

I really like her and it's such a weird feeling, because I've never felt this way about a girl before in my life.

I'm currently with my friends at the skate park. Well, near the skate park, we're kind of spray painting the side of the building that's next to the skate park.

We're all wearing masks that only cover our noses and mouths to protect us from the fumes and so if we get caught they can't tell who we are, along with beanies.

"Bro, you know that kills you right?" I said as I finished spray painting my picture. "Psh that's just bs to scare kids." He said as he took another hit of his cigarette.

"We'll see." I mumbled. People in our town actually think I smoke cause I always smell like it, from him smoking around me all of the time.

I've tried to wash the smell out of my clothes, but it takes like ten washes, so I gave up. I peeled off the template that I made then stood back and admire my artwork.

It was a black silhouette of a girl that looked like she was dancing. You can probably guess who I get my inspiration from.

Seconds later I saw blue and red flashing lights reflect off a puddle on the ground and the sound of a car driving closer.

I started running in the opposite direction and prayed that I could get away. Right as I reached the other side of the building another cop car pulled up in front of me, blocking me from getting passed.

So I jumped and pulled myself up and over the six foot wall. Once I got over that wall, I ran like my life depended on it.

My house was on the whole other side of town and I couldn't possibly run the whole way there, so I stopped at the next best thing...Justine's house.

Luckily her light was on, so I threw a few pebbles at her window and waited for her to open it. "Shawn?" She asked confused as she looked down at me through the screen on her window.

"Hey, um can I come in?" I asked, then pushed out my bottom lip. "It's 10 o'clock..." "Please, I have nowhere else to go." "Fine, I'll be right down."

I smiled up at her, then ran over to her front door and quickly took off my shirt and hoodie that reeked of tobacco and shoved them into the bush that was next to her front porch.

"Where did your shirt go?" She asked with a confused look as she walked outside. "What do you mean?" I played dumb.

"You were just wearing a shirt..." "No I wasn't." "Okay...come in, but be quiet." I nodded and followed her into her house and up to her room.

Once we were in her room, she shut and locked her door so her parents wouldn't see me I assume.

"So...Why are you here?" She asked, while sitting down on her bed and kind of staring at my abs instead of my face.

"Well, you see I was hanging out with my friends, then felt like going for a run, then got too tired to go all of the way home." I partly lied.

"So, you were doing something that you weren't supposed to be doing and the cops showed up so you ran away?" She said with a perked brow, looking up at me.

"Yeah..." "Let me guess, you were shoplifting, wait no, vandalizing a building." "How'd you guess that?" "You have spray paint on your hands." She pointed at my hands.
