The shy, friendless, Solstice Cook, meets new girl, Ingrid Hale. Her first friend. Ingrid invites Solstice to a bonfire- where she learns about the mysterious Alexander Hadmin.
Later, at a family dinner with Ingrid and her parents- Ingrid introduces Sol to the "Foolish Five" And discovers a new life full of mystery, hilarious jokes, innuendos, loyal friends, and chance encounters with Alexander.
